I have taken some pics of two American Hinoki table tennis blades: American Hinoki Blades
The WRC/Basswodd weigh 82 gm.
The NWC weigh 88 gm.

The extra thin ply is Basswood for the backhand.

Is n't the blade (face) also made of NWC? Why the handle wood has more whitish color than the wood used for the face?
When you have received it for the first time, did it have any smell?

The blade is made out of WRC, not NWC. That explains Redish color. |
