Why Wang Hao doesn't participate at this tournament? And Timo Boll, is he still injured?

Omg, Feng Tianwei and Sun Bei Bei's placing are so close in the Women's Singles, they will vs each other the next round. Sun beat Feng by 4-3 in 2007, I wonder who will win this time...

We could see Kenta Matsudaira - Chen Qi and maybe Kenta vs. Zhang Jike, early in the draw. It would be interesting.

Wang Hao was beaten recently by Wang Liqin and I guess he gave up to this tournament. He did the same earlier this year when Ma Long defeat him.

I really don't understand why Gao Ning and Wang Yue Gu cancelled in this competition, though they won the singles event in 2009 CTTC in Glasgow, Scotland.

OMG! Yu Meng Yu's first opponent is Guo Yan! That's so unlucky! I would predict that Guo Yan will win but I'll still support Yu. Hope she'll grab the opportunity as top seed to capture the U21 gold. She lost many chances of getting gold in the Under 21 events. Cry

Chen Qi won over Kenta Matsudaira: 3-11,4-11,9-11,11-13, it seems like Chinese studied his game and his serves very well. :)

Why you do think Guo played like a retard in this match? I observed and realise she was shouting "cho!" when she was chasing up against Yu Meng Yu. I think Yu was in good shape for this tournament.

As I said before, one game is not enough to judge one player. Now seems Kenta is nothing more than just one of those "ordinary" players.

definitely,  Kenta was probably playing at a high level in a big event on home court.   He didn't look impressive for his team in the German league.  If he really was a threat to the Chinese, he should've beaten most of those low ranked Europeans in the dttl, but he didn't.  He's still young, but too soon to consider him a major threat to the Chinese like Boll.

Same with Ishikawa who just lost to Liu Shiwen 4-0

Thats not true at all. He is no.1 in U-18 and thats for the whole world and he has won numerous titles, so you are incorrect.

how many world class 18 year olds are there besides him to compete with though? on a world scale with the rest of the men, that kid is still just a chump. What kinds of titles has he won? I bet they are all japanese titles.. no international titles right? (correct me if I'm wrong) But this isn't bad talk, its all just expected because the kid is only 16.

But I like him a lot aside from that. And he is still 16, and I think he's got more power than Mizutani does already. I think he will be better than Mizutani when he becomes 20. But I also agree with the fact that you cant make expectations and good judgements just from one good match with Ma Lin.

I am looking forward to Jiang Tianyi vs Joo Se Hyuk. I think Jiang Tianyi is quite a decent player and in recent games with Wang Hao, i think he performed admirably. I believe Joo is also in great form with the speed glue ban, so this should be a good match.. hopefully.
