Believe what you want. That picture is a year old and pictures of FZD with his blade at that time show otherwise (as I pointed out in the other thread). Some isolated picture of a blade which is quite possibly photoshopped and never in FZD's hands makes you want to believe that FZD is a liar in his interviews when he talks about intentionally choosing an all wood blade.

I made some shots when Fzd serving against Ma Long and it also seems to be the silver square at the bottom of the handle.

Official Chinese Stiga got a circular silver sticker at the bottom of handle unlike European version paper one. They are not Butterfly.

@ejmaster:
just a thought - if one is going to change the handle pieces - let's say BTF blade and adding some Stiga handles - re-attaching the butterfly metal piece is some serious extra work. I.e. you've to mill the rectangular sink for the metall tag first.....

It doesn't make any sense to do that if you're gonna try to hide the origin of the blade.

I've done some of this work for some lower level contract players and so I know what I'm talking about re. this extra work Wink

Just to clarify: whatever he's using now I have no idea. I just wanted to address the use of the old picture and how that was hashed out at that time.

My post was to address Chopper's doubt about Ding Ning. But it is no difference with FZD.

Honestly, I sometimes feel that even FZD does not care as much as some of us do about whether he uses a VPS or Viscaria! Smile

In national team, one can have contract with stiga
or butterfly or yasaka or DHS so there is no point
to use a butterfly's blade with a stiga label, plus
needs to switch handle himself.

For long term cooperation with butterfly, stiga, yasaka etc,
the national team does not gain anything by switching label.

Does anyone have a particular rationale to support the
intention and benefit of switching a label instead of signing
the contract with the particular brand?

The following is based on interview with FZD.

It is obviously a Stiga circle not Butterfly square. Which part are you still not sure about?

If true, it could be an all new version of Tenergy...
Probably I'm wrong...
