Go ahead & take a jab at me for not being able to adapt to FL handle...
maybe I don't want to!Tongue

I know I can get some ST handle Palio's over at ttarmory but aside from them can you find the budget Chinese blades w/ a straight handle?
There was a gentleman who played at a club I attend who had a DHS st that felt really good in my hand... however it was  given to him as a gift & he's no knowledge of it beyond that.
I guess I've seen the "expensive" models offered in st,  just not the budget ones.
Any tips?

Thanks in advance.

I have a Galaxy (Yinhe) W6 ST. Great dwell, a bit faster than the P500 (which should be similar to your Fuga) due to the thickness (~6mm) of the blade. The handle is decently large. It is like a thick ellipse, or a square-ish rectangle with very rounded corners.

Should be ~30 bucks at colestt. Galaxy makes some good blades, so I'd take a look over there if you haven't already.

What's up Heim?

I've got that W-1 in ST. You can get those galaxy blades in ST from Cole or check out their website, not really sure about DHS though. Idk why you would want a budget DHS blade though, if you want budget you should go galaxy. DHS has some nicer high end models but their cheap blades suck.

729 Friendship the A,C,F,L,V,W,Z series have a few ST handles. I tried one and it felt short, but I have big hands.
Dawei makes ST handles, but some of them are empty/hollow which makes the blade head heavy.
Galaxy was already mentioned.

I don't know what you mean when you say budget blades. At 40$ you can buy some cheap Donic/Stiga blades with ST handle.

There was also a recent thread were somebody said that Galaxy and Sword or Sanwei (not sure which one from the last two) make custom blades. I don't think these custom blades will be on budget... Wink

Yasaka has many affordable blades with extremely comfortable handles. Less oval and more boxy, but not exactly like BTY handles.

If just to EJ, I know galaxy has a few defensive blades that are ST www.colestt.com. Seems like all the defensive blades I have used are like yesterday's OFF-, so I doubt speed will be an issue. Headsize might be a problem.

I have seem some 729 ST blades, but they are not so common. I saw a Bomb ST somewhere. http://www.japsko.com/commentShow.php?id=173
But it looks like oval handle which I do NOT like.
