Specification Blade: Sword Ghost FL
Composite: 5W + 2JLC. The top ply is Koto!
Thickness: 5.8mm
Weight: 85gram, the weight I've requested for.
Speed: Fast
Feel: Mid soft
For Offensive
The blade quality and finish is good. It comes with a plastic wrap. The first thing it attacted me is the handle design.. Setup on Ghost
FH: Thor
BH: Baracuda This blade felt like "OFF". Felt faster than the YEO and way slower than T-8.
Ghost has very good control. And it felt interesting... although it has JLC below the 2 wood, it felt more like wood blade but with very little vibration. Very nice feeling.. It has better control and less vibration than YEO.
For rubber pairing, I've been using T05 for my FH for a couple of months already, but when I try the Ghost with Thor, it felt really really really nice on FH. It loops and smashes easily... and has very good control. I think I'm in love with this combo... I will try Thor on my CIZLC and CHK soon :)
With this new Combo, I was able to play better (improve control returns, smashes accuracy and looping underspin ball) and manage to beat those regular players whom I lost to most of the time...
In addition, I have also made some interesting comparison here, as Sword claimed that JLC is same as ZLC! Check it out!
- Innerforce ZLC (with limba top ply and ZLC below 2 wood ply)
- Ghost (with koto top ply and JLC below 2 wood ply)
- TBS ZLC (with koto ply and ZLC below the top ply). From the above, it seems that Ghost is the one if you want something in between Innerforce ZLC and TBS ZLC.. lol
Took some shots..

Always tempted to try out Sword products, but it's hard when the info about them is so difficult to find.

@PhotOn, Yes.. Sword is not well known outside China, thus info in english are very limited. But their blade popularity in China is comparable to Galaxy/Yinhe.. |

Some closeup shots before I pass the ST to his proud master!!!
Zoom in on the description behind the blade!!! Didn't take note of this when I eagerly glued my rubbers to my Setup.
My Setup!!! Marvelous combo.... loving it

You know how I can tell that Chinese Manufacturing Quality is improving?
Only one spelling error on the blade text, and one grammatical error. That's a massive improvement from previous generation technology! All kidding aside, some of Swords products are really beginning to rival their better known competitors. Their rubber tech seems to be pretty solid as well. I wonder why we don't see more Sword rubber reviews. |
