Has anyone tried out either of these rubbers yet?  Desperado is a new LP from the Dr. and Terminator is a new type of SP (Ox) from the Dr.  I'm especially interested in the Terminator SP rubber.  I read 1 review on another forum that said the Desperado was absolutely the best LP since the frictionless ban.  Just wondered if anyone has tried either of these 2 rubbers.

Yeah, I read that review too.  It was from just 1 reviewer.  Dr N just started shipping the Desperado on May 3rd so whoever ordered them are just getting the rubbers now.  I imagine there will be more reviews in a couple more weeks.

I've got this rubber last week and I tried already few times.

This is a rubber where pimples are visibly trapezoidal with grid surface. They are hard and dens distributed.

Here is the first impression (OX on defensive blade – Nittaku Vioncello):

Disturbing effect - less then old D.Tecs but more the new D.Tecs version or MilkyWay Neptune. It is comparable to Yasaka Phantom 0012.

Block above table – excellent – like the Super Block.  The rubber shines here very much. Even old D.Tecs didn’t have this.

Good lift against backspin.

Roll - generating sufficient effect but is more difficult then other all-around pimples (e.g. Octopus,  Kokutaku 911 etc.)

Smash – possible – but must be done very precisely. The rubber has less tolerance. Maybe version with sponge will better behavior.

The rubber is slower then new D.Tecs faster then Neptune.

Classical chop – less control then other rubbers. It's as difficult as Bty Feint Long  III.

In general it is very promising rubber. I will try her longer.

FLIII is very easy for chopping, a lot of control (much more than P1R)

So, after some time from appearance of Desperado, has anyone decided to switch from Tibhar Grass D-TECS, Spinlord or similar long pips to Desperado?
