DHS H301. Period! Even Darker speed 90 had its limits (used it for about 2-3 weeks then switched back to H301, as it was too soft for me).

Viscaria is $150 and more proven worldwide you biased guy Also Korbel SK7 and Korbel T5000 (new) are pretty similar priced to the others you mentioned

Our national team players are playing Joola Viva ($55 - all wood - 7ply), Joola Rossi Emotion ($89 Hinoki outer with thin carbon layers give a soft feel) and Joola TPE Fight ($149 Kevlar Carbon, fastest of the 3).
Quality is high and the pricing is about half what that insect company charges.

not possible to answer this question, without asking this one: which rubber goes the best with a particular blade for a looper.....who plays close or at mid distance.

Traditional answer:
1) Stiga Energy WRB (can't help but loop the ball) 2) Yasaka Extra (same feeling as Stiga Energy, just harder outer surface ply) 3) Stiga Offensive Classic (loops well, but shines more on drives) |

It would depend on a players level and also what style of looper they are. Close, mid, away? What works for one player could be considered awful by another. Very subjective indeed...ribbit.

Hi,
Not to be more annoying than usual, but: What is the best looping blade with Hinoki outer ply? Thanks,

968's FH is amazing, the best one I have tried. Not using it because 1) handle is too small 2) big head size makes the entire blade heavier than others.

I only played with Viscaria extensively to know it is a great looping paddle, would like to try Timo Boll Spirit and Timo Boll ALC if I get a chance, Butterfly makes great paddles.
Another important point is the rubber, seems like H3 neo work great with Viscaria, both have more gears. if you want to have great loops, get a 39/2.15mm H3 and boosted it, the reason is if you buy most other rubbers, you pretty much know that rubber is going down hill after first few weeks, but when you boost the H3, you are going to experience "different" feelings after each boost and as result from boosting effect slowly goes down, at some point, you might hit a sweet spot, which you can swing or loop with great confidence(given that your form is good). After you learned your preference on boosting, it is like having slightly different rubbers at your on control. This really helped me to develop my game without trying new rubbers and paddles all the time.

I'm very pleased seeing this topic starts almost every week. Also recommended best glue, best rubbers, best 1,3-5-7-9-11 plies blades or Waldner vs. Mike Tyson in car racing.

Most important is the rubber setup for the blade as not all rubbers are good for looping. And another factor is your personal experience after using a variety of rubbers and blades. Therefore 'the best looping blade' is an individual selection.

Ok, I'll bite. Here is your answer This question is going on 10 years old at MyTT. As others have pointed out, the threads quickly become a fan-festival-of-favorites. Literally tens of these "Best Looping Blade" threads exist, and that link is a quick way to check out all of them. But if you want a good answer for your game, here are some questions you might answer first: 1) For what level of play? (some of the best looping blades are too slow for US2400 players :) 2) From what distance from the table (some blades excel at close table looping, others mid or further) 3) With what type of rubbers? (some of the best looping blades prefer Chinese rubbers, others German or Japanese :) 4) In what speed class (ALL, OFF-, OFF, OFF+)? Examples: For US1500-2000+, close to mid distance looping, with Chinese Tacky/Hard rubber on FH, the OSP Expert is a monster of a looping blade that plays ALL+/OFF- at the table for control and OFF-/OFF as you retreat due to the big flex. or for US1000-> ??? levels, again close to mid distance, with virtually any type of FH rubber, the Yasaka Extra is a proven looping blade that plays ALL+ to OFF- speeds with good spin and solid control. To some degree, blade speed and rubber choice will influence what distance a blade performs its best (consistent with most power) loops. |

I have both the Spirit & the ZLF. Spirit is the better all-round blade of the two but the ZLF comfortably beats it in the looping department IMO.
