Has anyone played with a Xiom Strato vs Zetro Quad?
I've read the manufactures details but, I would like to know your personal experience. Thanks, V.O.

I use Strato, someone I play with a lot uses Zetro Quad. The Strato is faster...if it is 8/10, Zetro is about 7/10. Both have soft feel, but Zetro has more of it and it lasts longer after the hit. Strato speed is typical to slightly above average for a 6.8-7mm hinoki carbon w/kiri core. Zetro Quad is a little slower than the typical 7mm hinoki carbon. Considering it is a composite racket of 7mm, Zetro Quad has a ton of feel. If you come from sub 6mm rackets, both will feel very fast. If you use a 6-7mm racket now, both will be within your reach of adaptation. If you use 7mm+, Zetro Quad speed might be slightly slow, but not out of reach of adaptation. My experience with Zetro Quad does not make me wish to replace my Strato with one. Also worth noting is average weight of Strato is lower. Zetro Quad is about high 80 to high 90 grams, Strato is mid 80's to low 90's. |

Thanks for the good info.
Do you see a difference between loops, blocks and smashes or over the table vs. mid-distance? Thanks V.O.

i have used Axelo and ZQ. Axelo is a little thicker than the Strato. ZQ is a great blade, slower than Axelo but has better feel and great for looping. the downside of the ZQ is its weight, my one is 96g so it's very heavy.
i play close to the table and rarely mid distance no more than 3ft away from the table and the ZQ is much better for my game. i used Nittaku Fastarc S-1 on it.

They're close enough where I would say they're equally capable for all shots. I'm sure some people on this forum would really like to get into all the small details about how one is better at this shot or that shot but when you take a step back they're practically the same class of blade, so their differences are mostly fine tuning to different preferences within the same type of racket. If you buy one and end up not liking something about it, the other one won't fix it for you. I forgot to mention their handles might be different. My Strato is a ST and my friends ZQ is a FL so its not a direct comparison, but mine is larger and more squared. |

My experience with the Strato: awful.
A photino or a SC lot better than a Strato. I do not know about Zetro Quad.
