Just curious: did they play with celluloid ball or the new 40+? If not now, when do they expect to use 40+ in tournaments?

Celluloid ball. We tried once plastic, don't know when we start using it.

Stiga Classic Allround WRB, FH Andro Roxon 330 max, BH TSP Curl 1 1.5

But she decided firmly to go to smooth rubber for BH also as playing LP becomes boring.

Funny! I used Andro Rasant Turbo and DTecs OX on Stiga Allround CR but now use an OSP Immune OX.  Tell her not to give up the pips! She is an inspiration to other close table LP players. Two winged attacking is boring!Wink  (And anyway, you can't just leave the LP dark side...once you are in, you're in for life!LOL)

I thought Anastasia played really well in the mixed doubles-she did some things I had not seen her do before, probably because of the high level of play. There was a lot of good play from all four players in that mixed doubles final. Great stuff.

I agree with the people giving her a 1900 rating. I wouldn't give her more than that. I didn't look through all the videos posted, but a pips player looks a lot better when they play someone who doesn't attack their pips. My little sister is a 2100 player here in the US, and I can't see how this girl could take my sister. Her pips blocks/counters are too slow. she would get eaten up with a player who was comfortable playing against pips.
Also, her footwork is sloppy, and so are her motions. too long of a motion to be considered a high level player. definitely under 2000.
Not here to rip on her. just saying she is an average player.

I have followed Anastasia's video's for several months, my estimation, she may be 2100 USATT, she is taking games now off some of those top men players who are 2200-2500 USATT per my estimate.

That guy wanted to win the point(s) SO BAD and was very disappointed with a result here and there. Some players would frown upon his action on those points, but if you look at the whole match (of the first vid), you see he doesn't get all cocky celebrating, that tells something.

On that one really long rally where both players did some spectacular stuff, Blue/Green shirt did his action again. I approve of it, personally, I would have been similar, but would have right after my stomp smiled and pointed finger at opponent with a smile to say great rally you got me good.

I think it is entirely possible to experience BOTH severe disappointment (in one's performance or outcome of a point) AND compliment/be happy for opponent within the smae second. We are trained to not show this, but let's get real, over time it is damn difficult to hide your character, maybe for a specific purpose or if one is really concentrating, yes, but long term, character shows if you are true or not. It is an eternal fight of culturization vs primal emotional character. Somewhere a balance and harmony is achieved and better players quickly learn how to be at peace with themselves and others. No one is going to accuse me of achieving better player status just yet.
