Hi know its an old topic, but

I am thinking of upgrading from my infinity, to hollow and annoying.

Possibly looking for inner layer carbon blade but still with control and not too hard

do you think the firefall fc might be good, is the topspin still strong on the blade?

is it more topspin or hitting blade?

I use ten 05fx fh and spectol red bh.

im between this blade, artic wood, donic crest ar. not sure where to go

I am trying a yinhe m201 this week

Imo the firefall fc is like a thicker and better stratus cb. Light and stable blade. Very comfortable.
I did not try quartet.

It is because i am using it with lp p1r bh.
It is as fast as strcb. Imo it is more stable thicker and overall better blade than the strcb. As a thicker strcb.
The firefall fc is very good blade.
Very nice blade to play the fffc. Easy to play with.

Ejmaster, I don't see Firefall FC in your signature. Have you been satisfied with it? Is it faster than Samsonov Stratus CB?
Life is too short for defensive play.

Last day with pips as it was long time testing with lp.
The results about former posts confirmed.
Vfffc good to play more off lp play.
V01 limber better allround control than baracuda. More touch about the v01 limber and better blocking game. Little sensitive to incoming spin.

More days match playing
... the vff fc very good blade to play pips. Off performance with absorbtion gears. Stiff but with the right control feeling. Directional not too hard.

The v01 limber.
+++ flick. Very powerful and spinny.
++ control, blocking.
++ allround game, chop.
+- smashing.

I played alternate the vfffc with v01limber and the vkm with baracuda.
The fffc faster stiffer with better lp off feeling.
On the other side more variation and flex with the vkm.
The v01limber feels with more control than the baracuda and quite softer.
Better control and blocking with the v01 limber. Less solid topsheet and smash performance than the baracuda.

One day playing matches.
About the firefall fc. Awsome blade to play pips.
I liked this blade. Light good balance and handle and thickness and plying.
Well designed. The core combines with the carbon and the limba ayous very well
Inner absorv and dwell with light and stiff directional precision.
It is fast stiff with feeling gears. And solid about blocking.
Quite different from lsw being more flexible but with worse blocking performance.
Better feel for pips in firefall. Allows more off pips performance together with very good chop feeling.
Usually light blades feel as lacking power and some control about playing. However the light firefall fc blade has power and control feeling. One of the best power control feeling blades with 83 gr. So adviced to people looking for a light blade.

The v01 limber. Still discovering the rubber.
Different from what i am used.
Not comparison to other rubber.
Feels softer than baracuda and t05.
Better control. More sponge feeling but the directional behaviour is good.
It blocks well.
The topsheet surface is neither tacky nor grippy.
The thinner pimples allow to grab the ball giving spin to it.
The smashing performance is worse than baracuda or t05 as expected.
At present feels a little bit too soft.
Ball trajectory can be very low and flat. Weird low trajectory with a lot of spin.
Not so fast at fast pace as a baracuda or a t05.
But fast goes by at the time the ball spins touching the table.
Good short game.

A little surprise with the firefall fc as i thought the inner was ayous.
However it turns to be kind of kiri/balsa. Limba ayous fleece carbon outers.
This first post just about first impression. Did it with the phone.
As i was to continue testing with lp in the bh it is fine.
Design at first sight is like a thicker stratus cb. It looks better. The blade is slightly thicker than the Lsw. It is around 5,7 mm.
Fl handle very comfortable as good touch as btfy and blade balance very good.

The v01 looks interesting rubber. Sponge as porous as baracuda and t05.
But here in v01 limber pimples are thinner and also topsheet with less pimple height than baracuda topsheet.
So it can be expected more control and more sponge dynamic feeling at low speed with better blocking performance. Maybe not so good about smashing.
And good grip involving the ball.
The baracuda has the thicker and more solid topsheet and that is why is less lively (less sponge reaction/bounciness) at low speed.
Baracuda is not slow at fast pace and it has blasting smashing performance.
Pimples width are similar in baracuda and t05 but topsheet thicker in baracuda.
The rubber quality about t05 topsheet is different from baracuda and v01 limber.
More to come...
