Very nice! Brings back memories of the old Tempest and Plous BTY rubbers. BTY has come a long way since then. Thanks for sharing. Smile

Thanks,

these seem to close the debate once and for all whether it's Mark V (for victory) or Mark V (for five)

Olio, I never knew that was debated.  I never heard it called anything but Mark Five.

I see.  Just wondered.  I bought my first sheet of the stuff in 1973 or thereabouts.  We always called it Mark Five, but we were pretty far from the table tennis universe where I lived.  But I never heard it called anything else since then.

That Double Happiness blade in World Champion Guo YaoHwa's hand was exactly the type I or most of us that generation played with.

I've always called it Mark Five as well, but someone on the another forum on the internet (!) was adamant that the V was for Victory.

Super Sriver had smaller pips, making it a little faster, Sriver killer was just anti.

There wasn't anything super concerning Super Sriver. It was a marketing ploy to expand the Sriver name. It had less spin than regular Sriver, was allround in speed and was a good blocking rubber.

Sriver Killer was a slow anti.

OMG to think back in those days a player could get a Primorac or Korbel in 3 handle types! Smile
