Does anyone here use this blade, and if so what the head dimensions are? I understand it is more balanced, not head heavy like regular WSC? Donic De have no listing for this blade, only Donic Japan.

Tabletennis 11 has it. It's also a little stiffer with less vibration than regular shape.

Thanks for the info AMonteiro. TT11 have told me they will be getting more stock at end of March. TT-Japan also has it. It has great reviews on TT11 but not many reviews elsewhere. I'd like to try the JO Version as I don't want a head heavy setup

I got mine from TT11 and I play with Stiga Calibra Tour M on FH and Xiom Vega Europe on BH. It is a pleasant Blade to play with but I am still experimenting with the rubbers.

are you wanting it in ST? (since TT11 has it in FL at the moment)
tt-japan may or may not actually have it... I ordered one a while back and they wrote to me to say they actually didn't have it (not sure what the deal was, and I'm not talking down on tt-japan as I continue to order from there and I'm very pleased overall) what weight are you looking for? I've owned 8 of them, ranging from 77 to 87 grams (all JO Shape ST)

I was looking for FL in 80g, although upto 85g is fine, when I emailed TT11 about weight and confirm in stock for FL a few days ago as could see it will allow me to add to basket They said new stock will arrive at end of March. It's weird as it lets you add FL to basket and I mentioned that to them but seems they are out of stock of FL and ST

I'm wondering if there's just some miscommunication there as I just checked and it appears there are 14 FL in stock. I've ordered many times from tt11 and I've never experienced an inaccuracy.

Most strange, as I queried them having the FL available to add to basket, their email back said FL is out of stock too-perhaps their online stock system is not working properly- but where does it say 14 in stock?
I'm happy to wait if they will have stock by the end of the month. Notice TT11 also have a WSC light version (not available) and one with Waldners signature on, seems TT11 are the WSC specialists I'd agree re TT Japan they are a good seller. I also found it for less at Dynaspo http://www.dynaspo.com/products/2139-dynasports-donic-waldner-senso-carbon-jo-shape.aspx but haven't used them before and they ask you to use a mail forwarding service |

Our equipment expert actually uses the Donic WSC and is adamant that he won't change to any other blade. Let me try and find out what's happening with the WSC stock for you and the discrepancy with the website and your emails.

They confirmed for me that they are out of stock with the ST handles but still have flared in stock as the site states. If you have any further problems please feel free to PM us here on the forum and we will try and get everything sorted.

In case someone is still interested in the details and performance of this blade, we've just published an in-depth expert review of it on our blog: http://blog.tabletennis11.com/donic-waldner-jo-shape-and-senso-carbon-review

For me, the ST handled, non-senso JO LE is probably the best blade I've ever used. I've owned two WSC (not the limited edition, one FL, one ST) and while both had great feeling the hollow handle bothered me for some reason. I usually like head heavy setups but the balance felt different with the 4mm longer handle.
The limited edtion (non-Senso) blade, however, probably has the best balance, feeling, and comfort in my hand that I've experienced to date. So much control, plenty of speed (OFF vs OFF- with WSC) and looping is a dream. I like to hit and block a lot on the backhand and the blade is stiff enough for my trajectory. The WSC felt more flexy to me than the LE although many say the WSC is pretty stiff, yet somehow still high throw. I'm not certain, but the handle's profile on the non-Senso LE feels more circular where the WSC felt more oval, but I have no way to confirm this and may just be my imagination. The non-Senso's handle is not hollow which makes the blade very balanced and fits like a glove in my hand. So nice I bought it twice

The speed difference for example might be because of different blade weight aswell :)
JO actually plays/played with the hollow handle himself.

I dont know where tou purchased this "Non-senso JO LE". The 2nd image from TT11.com shows clearly that the handle is milled out, which led me to believe that it was senso ((that and the lens says so too). I'm not saying that you are incorrect about you blade. I am just curious as to where you purchased it, as I was interested in buying one, thinking that the handle was solid, but once I saw that they were Senso I lost interest. |

its not a difficult task to fill a senso handle if you don't like the hollow feel and add a tad of weight.

I bought it at TT11: http://www.tabletennis11.com/other_eng/donic-waldner-jo-shape-limited-edition Yes, the second picture and blade reviewed in the article (which is under the heading "Donic Waldner Senso Carbon JO Shape Limited Edition") is the Limited Edition WSC JO. I gather it is exactly like the normal WSC JO that Waldner himself uses, but the colors are different and has an image of him with text of his acheivements. The blade I linked to and have is the Donic Waldner JO Shape Limited Edition and its 5 plies of wood and the handle is definitely solid: I think I worded things in my post a little weird...

No, not a difficult task, but for me I also did not like the carbon feel even though it definitely does not feel like carbon most of the time as many have said over the years. However, there were times when I could feel and hear that "ping". I much prefer all wood.

A disadvantage of using the WSC JO shape is that, because of the usual shape, rubbers won't fit properly on other blades. For me not a problem since I am not an EJ and the WSC JO shape is the only blade I use.

Mine is 161mm - width is 150mm. The shoulders are more narrow than most other blades. This makes it (for me) more comfortable to hold.

The normal WSC shorter and a more traditional shape. I prefer the JO shape, but they don't differ that much.

OK, glad you clarified that, because the thread is concerning the JO shaped WSC, and so I thought you must be comparing that one to the "JO Shaped WSC LE". The regular Limited Edition is made like the JO Shaped Dicon, only that the handle is slimmer and it is not milled out. They have a very similar 'ping' sound when you do the "skull test" |
