The JPen blades head shape is a rounded rectangle - are there any advantages or disadvantages to this shape as compared to the oval shapes?

I've heard that round is better suited for close to the table play where as square is nice off the table.

I don't know for sure as I've never played with a round jpen. Played with plenty of square shaped ones.

I don't know if it's just me but my overall impressions have been the square shaped Jpens hit with a ton of power.... But not as much spin as my rounded cpens. I can only guess that the round cpen would be somewhat similar to the round Jpen. Not sure though.

Just my two cents.

Is it true that generally the square is smaller then round…

i like the square ones much better but sometimes i wish they made them just a tad bit bigger...

Yes, I was thinking about getting a square JPen shape with a shake hands grip made. I believe the JPen blades are so small to keep the weight down - I think most of them are 1 ply.

You can order the shape and woods composition you want to Ross Leidy. I bought several times already.

I agree.

S - different weight distribution  -> make better swing speed -> better drive

R- bigger -> larger swing spot -> more control
