    Posted: 08/20/2014 at 1:27pm
I just got a new pair, I observed that the recent Joola shoes have the same soles as some Mizuno shoes, even with the "Wave" insert at the back sole.  Anyone knows there's a deal to share technology between these 2?  I hope Joola is not just copying from Mizuno.

Anyhow, I got a pair of Chameleon and it even has hybrid Mizuno designs (soles from Wave Medal 2, and the top similar or even the same as Wave Medal 4).  It is very light, size 43, 245.3g without insole, and 261g with insole.

I would say cushioning on par with the Wave Medal, I would say it's probably better than the wave drive 5 I currently wear in games.

Added on August 21 morning:  The main difference I found is in the front sole, where it definitely gives more cushioning than the Wave Drive (I guess this is the main 2 parallel lines, Wave Drive for better movement, while Wave Medal provides more cushioning).

I would guess that Mizuno makes these shoes for Joola just like Asics makes shoes for Butterfly.

Hi Tuco,

THe megaspin seems to be this one (http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z10.5.w4002-5513572560.54.vksyrO&id=17369272333), the sole looks exactly the same.

The one I have is a little bit newer (at least from what the Chinese Table Tennis World magazine says), it's here (http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z10.5.w4002-5513572560.48.vksyrO&id=39140024604).

As I said, there is a consistent trend that Joola is using sole from Mizuno, and their top of line just look like soles from Wave Drive Ace (http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z10.5.w4002-5513572560.50.vksyrO&id=39130585699)
