I wonder why more pros are not using these vintage gems, they have the resources to buy them easily.

Maybe it's that the consistency from blade to blade can vary much, and most pros would like to keep their blades similar.

Perhaps it is just that the manufacturers can still make a blade of the Old Stiga quality, they just do not retail them to the public, and only distribute them to the player.

You just wanted to throw this soft ball out there, didn't you?

Perhaps the shocking reason is that neither "Old Stiga Quality" or vintage are necessary attributes to winning games at the pro level and that they might even be a hindrance?

In fact, for many pros, a blade used for 1 year is 'vintage' enough to be rendered unusable.

Forget 'Old Stiga' - how many play with a black tag Viscaria or a Viscaria ST?

I haven´t seen any old Viscarias but Franziska is playing with black tag Mazunov.

What is the point of playing safe shots when you can miss with style
