Yes.  See below (Swedish online dealer, only one I have seen so far).  Says it's very fast and has a 7+ 2 construction.  Probably very stiff (the carbon 9).  Have to admit, though, this is the first I have seen of it.  It is new for September and apparently there is also a carbon 7 (5 + 2) and a 5-ply wood, which they say is a little faster than the usual 5-ply wood.  I have to say, they look very promising..  Prices right around and under $100 USD.

Seems like a new brand, ALSÉR. There's three blades made in Tranas: Carbon 9, Carbon 7 and Allround 5.

You're right.  I hadn't noticed this before but these are not Stiga blades!  I wonder how that can work.  Perhaps that's why the only place I have seen them is sold by T-Tex (Swedish company).  I wonder if that means they will have a bit higher quality than more mass produced stuff?

Looks like is made by Woodhouse. Actually this Carbon 9 design is close to Yasaka Ma Lin Max Carbon.

OMG that blade makes me happy as a pig in slop!!!! The 9 and the 7 sound great. It look likes the original Alser thick grip and NOT the Legend which is smaller.

These blades are now available at TTEX.se in Sweden. English script.

Very interesting. I wonder if the Allround 5 is trying to replicate the original or just putting the name on a similar version. Good price at less than 40GBP.

I was wondering if these blades fall under the Stiga domain? Made in Tranas hmmm. I want to order a Primorac ST and the new Alser 7. Shipping cost will kill me since I live here in the USA. :)

Isn't it Yasaka that owns the Trans (woodhouse) works?

The company in Tranas that still makes blades is called Wood House AB.  They make many of the Yasaka blades but I don't think Yasaka owns them (I could be wrong about that, though).  They also make (or at least used to make) some Avalox blades.  That is probably why the construction of these Alser blades looks very similar to some of the Yasaka ones.  But the handles on these Alser blades are classic fat ones, like old Stigas, and the blades look fantastic.  It seems that they have made some sort of deal with T-Tex who seem to be the only one's selling the blade.  I am very curious if they had to make a deal with Stiga (or the Alser family) to get rights to the name and handle design or if all of this is now public domain?

T-Tex has never been cheap.  I once went into their store in Stockholm and they were selling Stiga stuff for more than it would have cost from Paddle Palace!!!  Probably quite a bit of that was sales tax.

Thanks Baal, I will wait and see if any US distributors pick up the Alser line. Those blades look fantastic.

No reason to wait if you really want one.  They seem pretty reasonably priced on the T-Tex website.

Not Yet, less time... General Impressions:

-Alser 5 is 84 gramms, head dimensions 15,7/15,1cm. Thickness about 6mm,
seems to be much faster than Primorac OFF-, slightly faster than Korbel.
Craftmanship is okay but not excellent, Top ply looks fine

-Alser Carbon 7 is 88 gramms, head dimensions 15,7/15,0 cm. Thickness about 6,1-6,2mm
