    Posted: 10/13/2014 at 3:48am
Hi Everyone,

I have just found a very interesting Butterfly blade with WAKABA soft on both side. It should be from the 70s - 80s - at least based on the old yellow box.
The weird thing is its handle. It has a very unusual shape please see the pictures. Could anyone give me any information about this blade, its age and - if it is possible - value?

Many thanks in advance!

Many thanks. What is its value in today's collector community?

Could be priceless for someone who is looking to fill his collection.
I have never seen such a paddle with that design of the handle, no matter the Wakaba rubbers are used for cheap pre-made paddles only. It is surely basswood construction 5 ply, or abachi in the middle + 4 x basswood.
TKMP - Could you tell us is this a manufacturer's design of the handle, or someone just modified it for himself ?

Very nice, thank you for the answer!
I have never seen such a paddle.
Probably it is never sold in Europe, but only for the Asian market.
