nittaku contract coach "tacshow" arai training with their sponsored player chan kazuhiro (he's played/plays on jp national team) using alhelg
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cR_iJzKvCCE
after playing with it for awhile now, i think my previous review was about right: more linear, low throw, more speed on when driving. in this video comparing it to Rakza X though, RX looks a lot more dynamic, high arc, like tenergy high-tension. alhelg looks very plain in comparison: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELechFVNEJw i would say though, while it's harder to block the RX, the attacker often missed when being slightly out of position. looks super fast and spinny, but not very useful in match play. with alhelg, they were able to repeatedly attack with almost no effort. while it looks slower in practice, in match play where both players are attacking at high speed, i think it will balance out. RX looks awesome

they are different classes of rubbers - you can't compare them. One is softer than T05 & M2. The other is 50 deg.

I'm sorry I haven't. I'm a little disappointed with my omegaVasia currently. Seen about 5 hours of use. Might just send it to for sale section. It's a heap of a different rubber compared to pro. Ain't got the time to adjust my technique. My college team will buy me some new gear this season as they did last season. I usually ask for tenergies and sell em here and support brands that aren't charging an arm and a leg.

s2p harder topsheet. Harder sponge too imo. Tackier. But still non tacky compared to h3.
It's a rubber either you will love or hate. Duarbility is crazy. My first sheet went 1.8 years. Idk why I sold it...... Many rated it as heavy, even at the WinFit (not square out of package) shape. I would probably say it is pretty close to a chinese rubber in terms of weight. Most people stay away from rubbers of that hardness, especially on the bh wing. ZaPenholder some time ago had said it's his alternative to old h3 speedglued. It's also as pricy as the recent xiom rubbers, if not more. I am not switching out of it unless Xiom stops making em or I become sponsored lmfao. imo s2p is the Best rubber out of Xiom lineup, 2nd is omegaivpro, 3rd omegavpro / vega jap tied.

Kurokami- at the end of the day, coming from H3 and if you had to pick one, which would you use on FH? G-1 or Alhelg?

G-1. it's more similar to H3 or 05 between the two. alhelg is more like omega v or 64/80 and better suited to speed looping than power looping like the way they play in japan. i will give G-1 another try or go back to h3.
i switched off G-1 to test alhelg bc G-1 is too hard out of the pkg like other ESN that i've tried. boosting was not effective with G-1 unlike with S-1, and i expect, C-1. Edited by kurokami - 12/01/2015 at 11:36pm |

*update: boosting is somewhat effective on alhelg vs G-1 in that it can accelerate breaking in quickly, softening the rubber with just a single thin layer. (G-1 remained hard even after 3 layers). resulting hardness is like boosted hurricane
