If I find a rubber that is factor tuned that I like, can I buy several sheets and then save some sheets unopened for up to a year when I may need a new one? I do think tuning fades with play but does it fade over time whether you play with it or not?

I believe the way you store it also plays a huge part in the boost effect of the sealed rubber. Dark place etc will help keep the rubber fresher vs an area that sees sunlight.

I can assure you that tuned rubbers in the package do lose their tune pretty quickly.  Some rubbers in a couple of months.  Galaxy tuned you can tell have flattened significantly in 2 months.

With dhs tuned I really can't tell, because it's never domed at all.

You can probably even go as far as saying if a rubber isn't vacuumed sealed, a rubber has probably lost most of its tune by the time it ships to you. My Battle II lost its tune after the first week. The top sheet stays incredibly tacky though after a quick clean.

I do like how sanwei uses the sealed packaging. I have been using battle 2 for over a month and it still plays well. I have not been able to tell that it is tuned (not like big dipper which was pretty obvious) but it still plays well.

Cole has a great point. I just slapped on tg3 skyline neo . The only way i could tell the tune was the smell of the rubber. It was so bad I had to walk away for a few minutes.
The rubber was relatively flat, which I believe is usual.
However the markings on the back was upsidedown. Fake maybe? Plays like a real one tho xp

Not lately on the air tuning.  They've tried at times, but the rubbers don't stick well.  They don't do it like other companies when they do.  I made them promise me they wouldn't any more.

and yes lineup, the corners are always clipped
