I've got a lacquered YEO blade using Rakza 7 rubbers on both the side. I applied two thin coats on the rubbers and one thin coat on the YEO before attaching them together.
Done this maybe 3 times and never removed the old glue. Always wondered if I should remove it before re-gluing the rubbers but was too lazy to remove it. Now I want to re-glue a fourth time and want to know the best was to remove this particular glue from the rubbers and blade. From what I've seen it's stuck to the rubbers and is not easy to roll it or rub it off. Also if I use light sanding on the blade, will I need to re lacquer it? Although I think rubbing it off from the blade will be easier than the rubbers, still a daunting task. So what's the best/easiest way to remove this glue from the rubbers and blade without getting splinters |

Any help guys? I've found threads about similar topics but nothing exactly for what I've asked.
So will appreciate small inputs from the experienced guys :) |

I wouldn't take it off. Butterfly glue doesn't peel off like some others do. Likely you will end up ripping bits of sponge out. Besides taking it off isn't necessary. The only downside is the extra layers will make it slightly heavier.

Should come off fairly easily, I always remove old glue before I put new rubbers on the blade.
