Not to take anything away from JSH, but a very disappointing performance from Mizutani Jun.
He doesn't have Xu Xin's loop but instead he has excellent touch, wonderful consistency, great ball read, and good variation.

He should be able to beat choppers. But he misread so many JSH balls in this match. Error-strewn performance.

agreed. JM is not like himself before :( he should be more care full against defensive player like JSH and wait for good chances to kill the ball.

This video shows the technical superiority of JYS's wristy backhand over CCY (who already has a really good backhand).

Jung Youngsik is from this generation of technically excellent Koreans, wonderfully relaxed, but I think he underachieves somehow.

To be honest, besting CCY was a pleasant surprise. He may still yet fulfill his.potential as an Oh Sang Eun clone.

yup. he was way ahead but just a little careless and errors caused him the lost in the last 2 games.

after watching all of these off vs. def games.... I think the best way to beat def. is:

while you still have energy, try your best to kill your opponent within the first 3 games. Then be careful chop it back and wait for the right time to kill the ball when you out of energy. Embarrassed

(just my opinion) Ouch LOL Shocked

Sooooooo Happy for JSH !!!!
It would have been really abnormal if such a player would retire without having won at least 1 title.
This is also a great performance because Jung Youngsik is very good against choppers..and of course he perfectly knows JSH's game.
Def play grey grip 94gr, Venus 2 blue 2,2, Neubauer KO extreme 1,3mm

Jung Youngsik beat Joo at the Korean Open last year in the final 4-1. I thought he was going to repeat the same performance or better it so I really give Joo credit for winning this.
