I was wondering what is the thickest blade? I have read that the max thickness of pimple and sponge rubber (including the topsheet) is 2 and 4 mm respectively, is that right? Is it true that thicker the blade is, the more it is for driving rather than looping?

The thickest blade I know is Swift 6 (aka Dark Knight) by Re-Impact; it's 17mm thick. And I want one!

To answer the second question, I believe you could generally state that thicker blades give less dwell and therefore favor hitting over looping. There are exceptions of soft but thick blades that still spin well like Jonyer, but that same blade would be spinnier if it were thinner.

Jonyer Hinoki was iñ fact a quite thin blade. I would say something around 5.2mm-5.3mm
