Hello all,
In this video you see the first team of our table tennis club in their first league game of the season. The team is playing on the highest Northern-level, one level below the National third division-level. Enjoy this video. Comments are always welcome! Edited by Slupmi-Atled - 10/08/2016 at 5:03am |

Wow. Is that a mini table? Or is everyone in the Netherlands just really tall?

This situation in Belgium is largely similar to the one in the Netherlands. |

Obviously the very tall lefty. Very fast and hard to read stroke. |

I like putting heavy topspin on the ball...

If you (in any competition whatsoever) look closely at the serves, you will see that almost all the players do make some mistakes there. |

By the way... a woman needs, before she can play division in the Netherlands, to show a certain level. She must win at least half of her matches. |

Nice, a reaction all the way from New Zealand! What is the situation there? Are there many clubs and regional / national table tennis competitions? Always interesting to hear, i am really curious. |

In New Zealand the sport is growing again, a good push in School;s and many new immigrants from Asia and they love their table tennis,(well the adults more so) the kids play many sports or none
I have gone to some clubs where 95% of adults were not born in NZ I normally play interclub in 3 venues a week, (I would the only person who does that here) as I know all the venues

Good to hear that the sport is growing again! That's very neat, especially because New Zealand is primarily focused on rugby and cricket. Are you someone who is busy promoting table tennis? |

By the way, nice that you know Danny Heister as (i think) American. Years back, Heister gave a table tennis demonstration at our club. Very entertaining. |

Those were the good old times... the level in the Netherlands is no longer as high as it was then. We certainly still have talented players, but at the international level we are beginning to become less and less . What is the situation with the table tennis sport in America? |

I always hear from many players that it is difficult to play against two left-handed players... A nice advantage for Keen and Heister at the time, but of course they were simply good players too. |
