I have a question for those who use Chinese rubbers
i wont be using booster , which Chinese Rubbers would you recommend as a substitute for Butterfly tenergy or tibhar evolution series, I would not expect these to last long, but if they are cheap, i can replace them often enough. Also if there are any other rubbers people would recommend. that are reasonably priced, or tensor rubbers from China. any help would be appreciated.

Long story short, there are no Chinese substitutes for tenergy or tensor rubbers with or without boosting.

What characteristics are you trying to substitute, feeling, speed, spin, hardness, etc? In terms of cheap DHS rubbers you could try TG3 Neo or H3 Neo on a composite blade (which is what I do to compensate for not boosting). It won't be the same feeling or stroke as Tenergy but with good technique you can get as much speed and speed. If you're willing to spend more there is the Tin Arc series and Gold Arc from DHS but I haven't tried them so can't comment. BUT they are almost as expensive as modern tensor rubbers so I don't really see the point... Another option could be LKT Red Diamond or maybe Yinhe Red Diamond. I think Yinhe Moon (or was it Moon speed) was supposed to be a Tenergy 05 clone, but I haven't used it so can't comment. You can use the search function to look for reviews of these on the forum btw

I have always liked Tensors and Euro Japanese type of rubbers and I never really liked Chinese such as H3, Tg2, the 729s.
One exception is Moon by Yinhee which I rather like and was pretty good. Has good spin, decent speed and good control. I played it both sides FH and BH. It is medium soft unlike other Chinese rubbers that felt like bricks. Reasonable price.

If I'm on a budget and can't afford a Tensor, then I'd go for Yinhee Moon. Some consider it as a Tenergy 05 alternative which I don't think so. One thing going for it is that it is so easy to generate offense like opening loops on underspins and it is not as sensitive to incoming spin as a T05. Speed and spin is a notch lower than T05, control is better but just as fun to play with. Coming from a tensor, I would say that it is plug-and-play, not to much adjustment needed. Hope this helps.

In my pervious life I've tried a number of Chinese tensor/tenergy alternatives... have been disappointed in all of them. This was in speed glue and the early non-VOC era. Admittedly I've not tried all the new 'alternatives' in the last couple months that I've been back, but have played with a number of players rackets and non felt *that* good. The only one I felt was close is the Hurricane 3 on 37 degree #65 white sponge with booster. Actually to be fair I quite liked it, although a tad soft (I would probably like 38 more).

TA-3 is slow rubber for looping and spin. H3-50 is fast rubber for topspin wiry low arc flow, suits for attack.

H3-50 is pretty good at backhand, but no where near as fast as a euro tensor

If you're considering H3-50 for BH then I would definitely suggest TG3-60 as well. From what I've heard it's lighter and bouncier but still not as good as a tensor for BH imho. Also H3-50 is not a lot cheaper than a tensor here in AUS.

I think H3-50 can be used on backhand and forehand fairly nicely, I have used both and the spin and touch on fast, stiffer blades is nice. I am interested to see Skyline 3-60 on both FH and BH too, as I feel it will also be suitable for both wings.
Although not a popular opinion, I have played with a lesser known chinese rubber called Reactor Ckylin Blue Porous Sponge edition (Chinese bluefire), which to me is literally a very good facsimile of Donic Bluefire I have compared it side by side with a sheet of Donic JP02 and it is close in speed and spin, great feel and control. Looping underspin on the backhand feels really great and is spinny. At about $10 US I highly recommend it, even if just to try.

Yap I agree with JK92. Reactor rubbers are OK, I have some Ckylin and Tornado. Bang for bucks rubber by Reactor. Good enough if you can't have a tensor.

thanks for all the great tips. i just ordered two new blades to try. well one i already have(just buying a back up for the stiga infinity VPS diamond touch) and the other is the Tibhar Samsonov pro black edition. i wont be using booster either.
i wanted to try some rubbers on them. Has anyone tried any of these rubbers below and are they any good? how do they play? and what are they comparable too. or have any other suggestions, to add to list, of whats worth getting. i ordered a yinhe moon speed already but has not arrived yet. i also bought a 729 battle II and it was nice, predictable and very light. - Reactor Ckylin Blue Porous Sponge edition - Hurricane 3 Neo - Yinhe Big Dipper - Sanwei T88-I - Tuttle Beijing III - Haifu Blue whale II black sponge

Sanwei T88-ii is the closest tenergy like rubber ive ever tried. and it only costs $10.
the sponge even has the same porosity as tenergy. the only thing is its a little softer than t05 so on the hardest shots it will bottom out before t05. spin imo is identical. haifu blue whale is not even close.

I have a couple of club mates that switched from T05 to Yinhe Moon Speed and have never looked back. One is about 1950 and the other 2150. Both use black on the FH and they both use BTY carbon blades. They both use pretty hard sponge version and both use edge tape that covers the sponge and topsheet. Another player uses Yinhe Earth and about 1850 counterhitter. Good luck.

a lot of people that play with tenergy can get the same spinny shots with a 20$ rubber the marketing weights more than common sense |

true but tenergy helps the player with the bounciness. some cheap rubbers make the player do ALL the work. which may even be a good thing depending on style and skill level.

that is true, the rubbers did help a lot, remember in old day, people said player should use an unforgiven rubber (aka chinese rubber) to develop a good tech. Anyway, spinart is really different from tenergy.
