I recently using Viscaria with Tenergy 05 1.9mm both sides. It's very awful and very difficult to spin the ball with it. I guess 1.9mm sponge is just too thin for me. But when doing a flatter stroke (e.g drive or block), Tenergy 05 1.9mm offer me more control and safety.
I'm going to change it with a cheaper thicker chinese rubber (maybe yinhe, 729, or palio) and I will give you the update as soon as possible.

I feel this could be a case of a bad glue job... Old rubbers re-glued without removing old layer, rushed or not stuck down properly..? You are talking about one of the spiniest setups around... Not sure it is fair to mislead people with this description of this Viscaria combination... |

I am 95% sure it is a bad glue job and if it isn't, it can be resolved with a better glue job as you have more leeway for glue with 1.9mm.

I like putting heavy topspin on the ball...
Cybershape Carbon FH/BH: H3P 41D. Lumberjack TT, not for lovers of beautiful strokes. No time to train... |

Definitely before I did that I would try detaching and regluing the T05. I remember playing with APW46 a few years back and he uses 1.9 mm T05 and his ball is very spinny, quite deceptively so. |

Yes I can. I've tried the Vega Europe and the Vega Pro. The Europe was too soft for my liking. It had a higher throw and just wasn't for me. This is in comparison to the Vega Japan. For me soft rubbers are the worst on my FH so I didn't compare them to the Tenergy 05. I've tried the Pro instead of the Tenergy 05. The Pro was just OK. Not the same feeling the Tenergy 05 gave me. Spin was good, Speed was good, Control was good, but not the same feel as the Tenergy 05 so I decided to stick with the Tenergy 05.

Personal preference: Nittaku FastArc G1 on the forehand, Tenergy 05 on the backhand.

If you want control vs spin, good blocking and good speed if you hit it, with fairly low throw give Acuda P-1 turbo a try. I find it quite amazing on my backhand side. I use mx-s on my forehand. both of these rubbers give you really good spin on your shots, but are not sensitive at all to incoming spin. they've helped me to improve my game a ton. neither are high throw though. but i play for fast attack and i don't want high throw I want just over net with speed and spin!
