Hi,
I've been looking for some cheap Chinese alternatives for popular blades , when I came across this brand called XVT.. Checked-out their website - xvt.cc, and saw various carbon & wood blades, at prices that just blew me away ... .. I mean, they're cheaper than even other Chinese brands like Yinhe/Galaxy, Sanwei, Sword ... How ? It this company legit ? has anyone actually seen/held/played with these blades ? how's the build quality ? how do they play ?

Yes, already read this, even before starting this thread... I don't always go entirely by what reviewers have to say about a product. I rather hear/read what someone whos actually bought the product and used it for a good period of time, has to say bout it. I mailed them - No response (yet.. it's been 2 days) ... I called - No response ... Whatsapp'ed - No response... Skype'd - As not accepted my invite,... All this makes me wary.

I use the XVT Balsa Carbon with long pips bh and inverted 4h. It plays all around not offensive as indicated but that is how you want it to play with long pips. It has a nice feel. I don't use any other now for lp. The blade quality is very good, 10mm thick. They include extra thick padded edge tape with the blade for protection. This would be comparable to the Dr Neubauer Firewall plus. Edited by LUCKYLOOP - 03/03/2018 at 4:04am |

Yinhe/Sanwei, in turn have copied from Butterfly, Stiga etc... I dont have moral issues with cloning or copying, and selling @ a cheaper rate...... FAKING, on the other hand, is something I don't endorse.

Yes I agree but XVT does the design as well still they're clones but I think Yinhe rebrand so it's like donic or tibhar copying the viscaria composition in that sense it's more moral

I owned and played with a couple a while back; the hikoki carbon and some other composite. Pretty decent quality. I didn't care for the metal logo being on the side but I haven't seen one come off either.
Contacting budget equipment sellers in China is usually hit and miss (mostly a miss), but I don't let that discourage me from ordering. Ttnpp comes to mind. I've probably ordered over 30 times from him but it can be very hard to reach him. |

Metal Logo on the side ? I'm looking at the blades on their website - Can't see any Metal logo anywhere..
Yeah .. Most of them don't bother replaying back to messages, or even answering calls ... I've messaged ttnpp.com, XVT (Henry Liu), a few vendors on Aliexpress ... No reply ...

I will place them in the order i liked them...the first two were in my opinion much better then the third: 1. ALC Wheel---very springgy and nice blade a bit handle light a good looping blade2. ZL Hinoki---nice soft feel yet fast, a touch too fast for my current taste 3. ZL Koto---the head size and length of this blade was too small so i liked it the least

Too bad they disco tinued the old balsa carbon blade. The 10mm thick one is not that good compared to the old one with the brown handle.

Yes balsa this thick acts that way, slower when playing soft, faster when playing aggressive. |

I own a RW7 by XVT. There´s absotely nothing to complain about the blade considering it´s price (>20$ with shipping) It´s pretty decent for any player, however, i wouldn´t go for it if you´re expecting to be a RW VII clone, since it´s not exactly the same as the original by Stiga, this one is a bit slower with more hollow feeling/sound.
Craftmanship is also fine, al least as good (or bad) as modern Stiga blades.

Yeah... the ridiculously low pricing (even on Carbon Blades), is the main draw..Even so, I though I'd ask around, as I don't want to just throw-away my hard-earned money, and end-up buying a really crappy product.

It'd be nice if we had a list/thread somewhere with all the infos about chinese blade "clones". I remember seeing that a few years back about Yinhe/Galaxy blades (k-4 with TBS, k-6 with Maze(?) etc.) Unfortunately most of the blades on that list are now discontinued or simply replaced with newer names. Also now that there's also XVT doing "clones", I'd be interested in trying out some of their blades too to see how they compare to the real thing.

Hi,
Reactivating this post .... So, I'd ordered the XVT Hinoki Balsa Carbon from AliExpress, it was delivered around a month and a half back... I was just feeling a tad lazy to set it up,and/or post about it over here .. Anyway, I've snapped-out of my laziness, and decided to set it up, and write a bit about it ... The blade arrived within 2 weeks of placing the order.. It came in a plastic shrink-type wrap... My first impression - Wow, this is one light blade !!! Infact, at just 64gms,this is the lightest blade I think I've ever wielded... The blade sure looked good, quality and finishing wise., totally belying the low price-tag... The only minor sore-point is the handle, which is on the thicker side...However, I got used to it, pretty quick, once I started playing with it. I had a new 729 Focus 3 Snipe (40°, max thickness ) lying around, so I glued that for the FH, and Pogo OX LP on the BH. I started playing standard warm-up counters, and the first thing I noticed was the distinct hollow clickey sound it made, when I hit the ball...Seemed fast'ish, but yet controlled.. . Looping did require some minor adjustments, but was easier than I thought it would be (I'm guessing due to the hinoki)... The entire setup being so light and on the stiffer-side, actually encouraged me to hit flat-out attacking kill shots.. something which I had almost stopped doing, due to my tennis elbow... hitting with this blade was a delight..In a way, it reminded me of a slightly toned-down version of Butterfly Gergley, I played with, more than 2 decades ago. Now, I asked my partner to start driving/top-spinning, so that I could block...My oh my, what a super job it does.... During the practice session, my partner started off with some basic topspins and drives, and then went onto some serious power play... Almost all of which I could block, without breaking into a sweat ...Blocking was a real pleasure... Even has a dampening-type effect... This was all, with the inverted rubber ... I feel, it would've been even better, if I was using slower rubber... On the BH, with the Pogo LP, I found it a bit difficult to control.. Several pushes went long. I also found to hard to keep the ball low... Could not generate any backspin.. I attribute all this mainly to improper technique, and the nature of setup itself... Blocking on the LP side, once again was awesome... Another thing - I don't know how to hit with LP.. However, with this setup,I found more of my hitting shots with the LP, landing on the table... I could even bump more aggressively, that too, with a good deal of accuracy. All-in-All, when factoring price:performance, this blade is just superb, and a lot of fun to play with..
