The only time I had any splintering with a Defplay is if there are any dings around the edges where the Basswood central ply becomes exposed and can come away a bit when pealing rubbers off,the outer Anigre ply is really smooth and not prone to splintering but it won't hurt to have a thin coat of sealant ,it's more important to protect the edges of this blade Imo

Hello,
I managed glue the OX rubber, by myself.. Here's how it went...
So, it was not all smooth sailing, but the end-result, I think was pretty successful. Thanks everyone for the pointers... I'll try posting some pics, later (One I figure-out how to)... |

Super Simple Method
Pre prep cut rubber large where it hangs well over edges 1 Glue Blade do not glue rubber 2 Let dry 20 minutes 3 Roll up rubber leaving label at bottom exposed 4 Align label at bottom press to attach 5 Roll rubber upward press down with fingers any bubbles 6 Let dry one hour then do final cut |
