Other than those 2 all time classic rubbers for beginners, what are the other rubbers that one can consider?

Really, the only one to consider is Rozena. A classic with a bit more zing. Perfect rubber for improving skills.

Stiga Mendo Energy plays well, and is inexpensive, but is not greatly different than Mark V.

Hi, can someone pls compare Mark V with Sriver as playing characteristics and how different generally are they.
I'm planning to try one of them in the near future with some offensive wood. Thanks. -:) Cheers, Stan Edited by stancuzi - 07/29/2018 at 8:13pm |

They are quite similar. Mark V is a little grippier on the surface, and perhaps slightly faster, but there's not a great deal of difference between them.

Stiga Mendo MP is excellent - it was a very fast rubber back in the 90's. Now it is a very linear rubber that can go very fast when you hit hard. The placement is perfect

This rubber if you can get it -- http://www.tabletennis11.com/other_eng/nittaku-nodias TT11.com had it in stock just a coupla weeks ago (only in Red it seemed!). I picked up a sheet in 2.0 for old times sake to throw on my old Donic Waldner Wood. It is purported to be the same rubber as Donic/Nittaku J.O. Waldner from back in the days.
