Coming from Rakza 7 1.9, I tried the Dignics 1.9 on FH. Throw is much lower. Easy to counter slow spinny loops. I really had to start lower or swing harder with the same angle to clear the net on just a normal top spin block ball or drive. Too much of a stroke change for me to like the rubber. That was just quick practice on my robot. I would say it is much harder than the Rakza 7. I'll give it a go against real opponents tomorrow, but I would say I am definitely sticking with Rakza 7.

Tried D05 2.1 for about 10 min on Viscaria with T05H on the other side.
D05 has more dwell than T05. The feel is a shade softer than what I thought a 40 deg sponge would be like. I love it as a BH rubber (I would prefer T05H on FH if H3 BS was not around!)

KLHfan said he (~2100) beat 2 2300+ rated players using Dignics 05, so looks like the D05 is here to stay for the long haul.

Got clobbered by a slightly lower rated player using Yasaka Anti Power (BH) very effectively to mess with rhythm and pace. Looks like Yasaka Anti Power is here to stay for the long haul!

There is another whole thread about Dignics, but it doesn't seem to receiving as much hype as Tenergy 05 Hard had when it came out. It seems that people are less excited about Dignics.

I have used it in two league sessions last week mostly on my BH doing Banana flicks serve returns off low serves and short over the table flicks it was so easy I almost forgot to push now and then for some variety. I had no issues keeping it on the table during matches but when I did my first practice session last night I had some problems going long and into the net. It has a high speed finish so when you go down the line its very effective even against players who have good footwork they shake their head in disbelief. When I Played higher rated players Sunday in my matches they quickly began to focus more on my forehand after the first game and shots closer to my elbow and midsection staying away from my BH. It has changed my game in that I am in rally mode very quickly few if any pushes so I ran out of gas Sunday in my last match as my prior matches took a lot of effort. I will need to work on my FH and footwork and pace myself better. Used th OFF- Levi |

Also, because Dignics is a completely new rubber, and T05H was basically the pro version of T05 that people knew would be a good rubber regardless

I tried playing T05 Hard on my forehand for about 2 weeks. I would say I played 200 points lower than I play with my normal forehand rubber, T80.

I'll try boosting the T05 Hard when my booster arrives. It should be here in the next few days.

what benefits should one be looking for on a T05H boost? Softer sponge or faster speed?

Booster questions: 1. Why use booster on T05H? I thought only chinese rubber like hurricane needs booster. My reading online that tenergy rubbers don't need booster. 2. How long it takes to apply booster? I tried booster on H3. terrible experience. It took me at least 24 hours and the results seem the same as before.

I am trying to see why the T05H need booster as well. As for your H3, if the whole process took only 24 hours, I think you missed something - there are threads on this already

You can right. I don't think I am following all procedures. Where I see rubber in Arc mode, I just put it back. It takes too long!

I know some people who boost T05 (regular) and swear by it, but when I try there paddles I'm not impressed. So I've been playing mostly T05 un-boosted and felt good about it. I recently spent about four weeks playing with T05H, including a training camp and a tournament. I used it only on the forehand, and kept regular T05 on the BH. I really liked T05H without any boosting. I found it to be about the same spin at T05 but faster speed, and it has a higher top-end for big loops, compared to regular T05. It's also less bounce, which provides better control of short balls, such as drop shots or flips. I really liked it and it would like to stick with T05H on the FH, but there is a problem... Tenergy is awful when the air gets very humid (over 70% is bad, over 80% is almost unplayable). All rubbers lose some of their grip in humid conditions, but the Tenergy top sheet is much worse for this problem than any other top sheets I've seen or tried. It just drives me crazy. So I switched a week or so ago to a "test" paddle I had setup just for testing rubbers. It has Nittaku Turbo Orange on the FH (it still has T80 on the BH, but that's not so bad because I mainly use control loops on the BH). Turbo Orange has an H3 top sheet, so the grip is great, even in humid conditions. Overall, I like the feel of T05H better for my FH, but I know I can rely on the TurboOrange when Tenergy will let me down. Just to stay on-topic, I do have one sheet of Dignics that I eventually intend to try on my BH. I'm curious whether that top sheet has the same humidity problem as the Tenergy top sheet. And I have no plans to boost Tenergy or Dignics.

My experience with Tenergy in the extreme humidity of southern Vietnam has been pretty good. Yes, it does get moisture on it, but its a lot easier to keep it dry than some of its ESN competitors. I've been playing T80 on my forehand for about a year and I rarely experience ball slippage.
You are correct about T05 Hard being better for short game and serving since it has less catapult on certain shots. I can make extreme angles on pushes and very nice drop shots with T05 Hard. I can't do that with regular T05. T05 Hard is even a little better than T80 in this area. With T05 Hard, it just doesn't have very much dwell time. The ball just leaves the rubber so quickly when you get in to a rally. It requires a lot more precision than T80. Drives and flats hits are also not as good for me with T05Hard. On Flat hits, it sometimes feels like a brick.

Youre style must be different than mine. In high humidity, a Tenergy that starts a rally in a dry stay has serious slippage within a a hit or two. Of course, this depends upon how much you're using the top sheet to brush for spin, versus digging into the sponge for mechanical spin. If I'm off the table and hitting for big loop drives, then the top sheet doesn't matter much. But for slow loops or spin off of underspin (underspin serves or pushes from service receive), there is just no grip at all. I can't speak to flat-hitting with T05H because I rarely flat hit. Drives, however, should work great with T05H, because the harder sponge produces more power without bottoming out.

You're right. I loop with the sponge more so than brushing with the topsheet in most situations. I also use a towel and my finger to dry the rubber very often. On some ESN rubbers, I dry it with the towel, but it still has this layer of condensation on it that is impossible to remove. I just find it easier to keep Tenergy dry. Unfortunately, the clubs in Saigon don't have air conditioning and humidity is a big problem here.

Also, it could be that my blade isn't suitable for T05 Hard. I plan to try it on some other blades eventually.

I tested it with Bty TB ALC, and I think it would work on similar blades, such as Viscera. |

Always found T05H too stiff for Visc, had to boost with one thin layer to really bring out its potential. Boosting T05 normal always turns it into mush for me

Yesterday I tried brand new T05H on forehand and Dig05 on backhand on my custom carbon blade similar to Viscaria. T05H feels great on the forehand dignics is just ok on the backhand, I found nothing really special about this rubber. Topsheet of both rubbers to me looks identical and feels identical. Dignics has this weird way of sometimes sending the ball in a higher flight than what u intend to do with your shot. Also I do not like how often it shoot the ball long past the table. Feel for hard hitting is there, you can also perform good backhand topspin but I feel as T05H in reality might just be a better rubber in most of the departments. I find dignics to often generate uncontrollable behavior such as out of nowhere too much catapult, or ball goes just weird. I heard it has some break in time so I will give it some time. Anyhow I will say I am a bit disappointed with this rubber. I also did pull some of the cutting remainders of both rubbers to see under force which rubber breaks easier when pulling apart with two hands. To my surprise Dignics breaks much quicker therefore I do not see how can this rubber have a better durability than lets say T05H or regular T05.

I can tell just by watching the video and hearing the contact that Dignics has a lot more dwell than T05 Hard. That's what I hate about T05 Hard.
