0:17 is great. "this guy is too good!!! what do you want me to do??"

as for his style, most long pips pushblockers play something similar to this.

Making a "basement game" work on a respectable level, impressive and creative. One thing that accentuates his non-standard strokes is that he maintains his upper torso in an upright position - a very non athletic posture.
An EJ to a table tennis player is an equipment junkie. An ej to a mathematician is a standard basis vector.

How could he read the ball trajectory, bounce and spin so well while looking down from that high? Most long pips pushblockers also stay pretty low.. He's not a push blocker, though. More like a hitter/chopper.

Dead You watched it. You can't unwatch it.

I think I've probably undone about half of the coaching I've ever had from that video.

There's a guy in top 50 in England who plays a bit like this but just at a much stronger level. I can post a video for comparison.

That's the next level of weird, but he has incredible hands.  A match between this guy and Rich Dewitt could be epic.

Willing to bet his rubbers are approaching anti level of grip. Dead sponge too, most likely.

I don't see anything close to Oliver.  Oliver is much, much better and the style isn't even close.

I would say a lot of the comments on this post are missing the point.
Why we are not able to celebrate his style or his 'lack' in style. I see him enjoying himself whilst making his opponents miserable.......similar to players using long pips; especially.

I shall contribute US$20.00 towards a fund to allow the player to have a game with either Mr Oliver or Mr heavyspin....( how apt ) and have it posted here.

Any takers ?

I like playing players like Adam and Oliver.  Their unique style make them a challenge to play.  They do not make me miserable.

The original video is amazing. I like his style. People are comparing him to Adam Bobrow, but I think this guy is more fun to watch even if Adam Bobrow may be a better player. What level do you think that guy in the video is? I guess hes at least 1700 or 1800, probably a good bit higher. It's hard to tell from just a few clips. It reminds me a guy named Mark in Clearwater, FL, but this guy in the video attacks better. The guy in Florida uses long pimple on forehand, but they do however have similar technique and nonathletic stance. The guy in Florida usually hovers between like 1650 and 1850, but I think the guy in the video has better serves and attacks better.

Current Setup: TBS FH T80/BH D80

I don't think the guy is a good as you think.  Remember this is a highlight video.  His opponents look okay, but he barely beat the first guy and lost to the second guy.  His unique style is fun to watch though.
