I am currently using Innerforce Layer ALC cpen, I play TPB style with rubber on one side only. I use Nittaku Fastarc G1. I am looking to switch to RPB so does anyone have any recommendations?

Tenergy 64.  I used that rubber on my RPB for 3+ years, love it still!

+1 for T64. Maybe the best BH rubber I´ve tried.

Thanks. Is it high throw angle?

Gotta give my vote to Tenergy 64 as well. Had a friend who used Tenergy 80 on his rpb but when we played, i always felt 64 would have suited him better.  The blade he used was YEO.

Just my 2 cents.
A version of Hurricane 3
A version of Tenergy
A Stiga blade...

I agree Tenergy 64 is very nice for RPB (also 64FX, more forgiving)
but I thing Dignics 05 is an upgrade in all areas.

Keep in mind that adding a BH rubber will increase the weight of your set up.  For a person used to playing one-sided PH (TPB), this may make your set up too head heavy and increase the strain on your wrist.  It may also affect the "feel" of your FH and TPB.

No, the throw angle is low.  If you have the proper stroke, you will get some amazing sidespin with your RPB.  I'm training to play shakehand now, but when it comes to matches, I stick with my T64.  T64 is great for speed and spin.  Once you master RPB loops, try to incorporate RPB punch blocks.  And T64 complements that attack so well.  Good luck!

I'm using Dignics 05 now, but also considering Dignics 09c as an option. T64 is also a great rubber for RPB but for me it was harder to do consistent backhand flicks and blocks with T64 compared to D05. As a cheaper alternative, I can recommend Palio AK47 Blue.

Yes. Don’t switch. Keep playing TPB!
Your username is penholdishard🙂 Being hard is what makes it so satisfying. And it’s even more satisfying playing TPB!
Challenge your TPB skills and make them stronger.

you can flip your paddle and check howNittaku Fastarc G1 works for you.
I'm using G1 for both sides now, but am wondering to try Nittaku Fastarc C1 for my backhand next time. It should be lighter in term of weight.

When I was playing RPB I found the T64FX to be a great choice.  Kept the racket light so helps to retain the flexible wrist in playing PH, fast and very spinny.  RPB has a naturally more open angle on the BH side so the lower throw angle compared to say the T05 was helpful as well.
