Is anyone using the gambler burst on the oh toro sponge? I know the old gambler burst rubber was a nice control spin rubber. How does the burst on the oh toro play?

there was a thread about volt that discussed it some. I find them softer than marked with a good quality feel and control. Not as fast as i expected, but still good and would pair well with a fast blade. Beautiful production quality.
The sponges themselves remind me of the globe Japan or Avelox sponges that come from global I don't tune or glue anymore, but this stuff is very reactive to glue and would definitely tune up well

Cole thank you for the reply. The lack of speed is kind of what I am looking for anyway. Medium hard sponge, good control, high spin, not fast speed is really what I am looking for. I found the new mech tek predator on the ohtoro sponge to be too fast for me. Sounds like now burst would be ideal for me. |
