Very curious as to how the playing conditions are in different countries. I ve noticed people here from Austrailia, Phillippines, Canada, etc. I m especially curious about you mates that play in Iceland. With a population of just 300,000 people. Is it hard to find people to play with?/What are the clubs over there like? Because of shipping, is buying equipment there super expensive?

In Europe much better then in the USA. Sport is more respected, lots of great clubs and people actually play club against club in most cases. You have leagues and you move up and down based on the quality of players in your club. Pretty much every city has their own Table Tennis club that represents it and they practice multiple times a week. There are table Tennis shops all over the countries at minimum 1 pro shop per larger city. Prices are good for European products.

There are about 9000 active USATT members - that is probably less than the number of registered active players in some large German city like Munich or Frankfurt... shame...
