Only our defenders have played well. Such an irony for a team with his mainpower on the attack. I just think that when Parreira come back to brazil he will be almost killed.

Zidane was amazing.  I was expecting Brazil to win too.  Brazil had a few opportunities they should have capitilized on.

Brazil had 11 wins in a row, who would have thought France would stop them. I rememeber about 10 years ago in the finals, France was a huge underdog and baet brazil by 2 goals.

France definitely had a great game.  You could tell that it was a different team.  All of a sudden they get into the late rounds and poof . . .  magic.  It was like they had a new found confidence especially when they were controlling the entry into the goal area.  Very Surprising.  I was expecting Brasil to win since they had so many great players.

Wow . . . rioting.  Eegh .  Hate to see that kind of fanaticism.  Hopefully no one got hurt.

Brazilian players dont show their enthusiasm when they play for their nations. When those players no longer feel proud when they play for their nation, how do u suppose them to win?

The only reason for losing brasil was Parira. He was not brave and not only brasil lost the game they did not play their beautiful football. Remember brasil in 1986, also they lost the game but every one like them and I think they were the best time of all times.

Brazil looked so flat and lifeless. All the players seemed to walk around, no big runs or tricky stuff. Ronaldinho just walked around the front and kicked balls over Ronaldo's head.

The brazilian defenders esp Lucio+Roberto Carlos seemed to be the only ones doing stuff.

Disclaimer: I recorded it and watched it, but accidentally found out the score at half time. Was too depressed to watch further.

The only good news is that England lost.

Zinedine simply awesone...I hasn't seen playing like this
since many years....who would expected such a team after the opening game vs Swizerland??
I'm looking for a final Italy - France (even for a revenge of Euro 2000 :-p), but let's wait and see....

France really played very well. This time there are not any excuse for Brazil, a good team  but too individualistic (there is no team withouth team play) and this is the result. Bravo l'equipe de France et j'espre de la voir en finale avec l'Italie ! E che vinca il migliore  !

France took them completely out of their game.  Brazil hardly had any shots on goal.

i basically think that brazil's opponents before france were weak with the exception of japan the other games was a strugle.a couple questionable goals against ghana the score does not represent the actual game,it was noted that if brazil played this    this team cannot be compared to brazil team of 96. france took cotroll of the middle which was the key to this game.

I live in Toronto, one of the most multicultural cities in the world, and nothing would upset me more than a Portugal vs. Italy final. Both teams have such ridiculous supporters here. People driving convertibles down hill with their knees on the wheel and falgs in both their hands. The sound of the celebrations can be heard till 2 am everywhere in the city.
Peace out.

I feel sorry for you. You never experienced this pleasure (most probably you will never experience that) therefore leave us in peace. This is for us a moment in our soccer history. we are null in ice hockey but leave us our national soccer team and please take in consideration that most of these Italians or Portuguese are probably also Canadian citizens !

ok this post is a little late, but did anyone expect france to come onto their game like that. france italy final could be awesome if italy play like they did against germany. france won't give them the room the germans did though. as for brazil. ronaldinho ubderperformed, they were overrated, both strikers ronaldo and adriano looked overweight and ,frankly, brazil are not even the best team in south america never mind the world. argentina should have been in final if it was based on pure talent but, not unusually for them, they lost the game against the germans due to mental weakness not ability. they were great to watch too but cant complain too much after that germany italy game. what an awesome football match.
