Who do you think is going to win? I voted for Portugal because they've never won the World Cup and I'd like them to win. But France is in form, they eliminated first Spain and then Brazil who both won 3 out of 3 matches in the groups. On the other hand, Portugal eliminated Holland and England who got 7 seven points in the groups. Both France and Portugal knocked out two favourites.
Although France is a bit more favourite and has Frank Ribery who has excellent runs, my heart is on Portugal. Both team likes to play offensive, I think we'll watch an enjoyable match. |

Thank you guys ! I also hope France will win. But pls don't underestimate Portugal. They have a very strong team and I'm sure that'll be much more difficult than against Brazil. But if we are playing as good as agst Spain or Brazil, that should be OK !

france have been getting better and better as the tournie goes on. thats the way to win a world cup. build up momentum. once they got the monkey of the 2002 world cup off their backs, and qualified from their group, they have gone from strength to strength. the match is more evenly poised than people think. both teams have an excellent defence and 2 of the best defenders in the world in carvalho and thuram. both have slightly eccentric and erratic goalkeepers capable of utter brilliance one minute and utter sillyness the next. portugal definitely have the better midfield. maniche, ronaldo, deco and figo. people forget that at one time their was a debate as to who was the best player in the world and it was between figo and zidane. figo is far from past it. up front france are way better and have quality strikers. portugal have pauletta and the rest make up the numbers really. thats why they usually have to play 4-5-1they are forced to due to lack of quality up front. France should edge it as they are on form but they are also quite old as a team. will they run out of steam? this could be a game too far for them. still, my vote goes for france. and when they play well thay are great to watch so i hope they win.

I would say France. Zidane can make the diference in their team & they are strong in both offence & defence. Just go back & watch their game with Brazil. Their offensive is more threat then Brazil. Brazil is having a tough time of getting the ball close to France's goal box there. Great match France & keep that skills going.

If the Portuguese team doesn't fake injuries like a bunch of pricks to piss off the French team, France should win, but no one is more of a pansy than C.Ronaldo.

portugal confirmed their reputation as the worlds biggest conning cheats tonight. they were a disgrace to football. ronaldo is a brilliant player but did you see his dive in the box to try and get a penalty? they were at it all through the game and they were also rubbish. they just dont have the talent up front to score against good teams. they could have played all night tonight and still not scored against a france team who did not even play well. the holland team they knocked out are very young and inexperienced. they will go on from strength to strength but england should have beat them. if england had a decent manager they would have. portugal shamed themselves with their antics tonight, and not for the first time, and we should all be pleased they are out. look at chelsea in england too. they have a reputation for diving and trying to con referees. their manager is portuguese. coincidence? i don't think so.

Fraziel is right on that cheating of Portugueses, but please, Chelsea is not that bad and I'm sure no coach directs their players to make dives. By the way this tournament is full of divings and simulations. I'd like to see refs giving more bookings for this sh..t.
