If  i  reduce  the  size   of  my  blade  will  it  make  the  sweet  spot  bigger.

There may be something to this . . . less vibration and more concentrated sweet spot? I'm looking to go the other way . . . BIGGER blade.

It is better to leave the blade as it is. Altering the the size will disrupt balance and I think it will degrade the performance of the blade.

Aeoliah is probably right, but . . . I wonder how scientific the balance of the blades really is, or can possibly be. The reason I say this is because the rubbers/sponges we choose all have a different weight . . . some are VERY heavy and some are VERY light. So, I'm not sure it matters as much as we might think.

I agree with you, we can only talk theoretically. If we glue heavier rubber, the point of balance will certainly move towards the head and the towards the handle if we use lighter rubber.

I cut my Hock 3 ply to a 'regular' size blade and it plays Great!! Faster swings and still defends well.
