I think the Champion Apache (from Korea) is a tensor rubber.

Tensors are made in Germany as far as I know. I'm not sure whether the same technology is being used in Asia also. The XIOM Omega series, ZETA, True Innovation are all made in Germany. I have not seen Champion Apache but was told that it is a tensor rubber and cheap too.

How does the top look like? Like Joola Energy Xtra? Is it grippy or like "glassy"?

Looks really grippy to me. Nice.  A question though, at this price why would one prefer this rubber over brands like Butterfly or Yasaka? Is it because of the built in speed-glue effect. Please consider this a noob question, not meant to offend or criticise.
