The retail price is $189. plus shipping and stuff.
ďż˝
But I had difficult time selling it over 150 on eBay (cheapskates). So I wonder how much I can expect to fetch from this blade, realistically, if not considering my cost?

it's like $155 shipped form TW, $160 shipped from Japan. It was $169 a month ago in the US. Butterfly's price in the US doesn't mean much.

Well, I'd rather giving it out than selling at lose...
So you're from Seattle Fatt? In 06 I works in Redmond and went to Fan Yiyong's club in Bellevue several times. people there are NOT nice, unlikely any other clubs in CA or FL.
By the way, the old russian guy in Palo Alto club is a big jerk, too! That makes me stop playing there and go to other clubs instead!
I'll some day lose 50 lbs, get my game improved abroad and beat the hell out of these bad guys!

The market is bad, so people would hesitate to buy the expensive stuff. I saw couple members posting to sell (almost brand new) Jun Mizutani for $120 shipped, but no taker for weeks. Since more people like Mizatani, Amultart would be even tougher to sell.
I did not mean to down value of your blade, but it is tough to sell over $120. I guess that you should keep Amultart. It is a great blade to keep.

I already have one. I bought 2 Amultart blades and 2 Tenergy05 rubbers, put Tenergy on 1 blade. Still have a naked Amultart!
I'd rather give it to kids for free - of course, to those who has skill and potential to use Amultart, like her, my favorite little ping pong friend.

instead of selling for a loss...

Everybody there is nice but with a biiiig ego (surprise...).
It's true that I experienced what you are talking about until I started to play harder and focus on sweating then suddenly I made more friends.
No matter what you say about yong's club that's where 95% of the people over usatt 2000 go and there are 7 tables. Also all those better players work for MS and other tech companies in Redmond and Bellevue and they can be picky about their time as they want to play people their level or better like any of us. However they are smart so every once in a while they will spend time with a weaker player to warm up or coach and make the link between levels so overtime it's pretty well leveled and so I think there are all very nice people.
Are you that very tall blond hair bigger guy who used to come sometimes with a super cute lady?

I would take it for 2 weeks and then send it to somebody else. Let me know if you are willing to let that baby get some fresh air.
I am on line

No I am not a blonde. I am Asian.
Another thing about Yong is that, once they started to have own clubs, all they care is damn money! Same happens to the bad Russian guy in Palo Alto I rant about.
It's always money and money. On the other hand, US players hardly make enough award money from tournaments so they're able to go abroad for big games and improve...
Well, what you said about Bellevue clubs could be true, those smart asses! Maybe I am not good enough (1600 some), but Yong's only playing a fat ass Jew and not seems to be interested playing anyone else...Only the handicapped filipino or some old guys plays me.
Anyway, table tennis in USA sucks - look at the embarrassment Zhuang and some Crystal Huang brought us - I'd rather send Ariel to Olympic than Crystal...glad no more oversea chinese, forever!

I just saw your pic on flickr I remember you. You can see me on the thread I posted a few min ago do you remember me?
The handicapped Filipino you are talking about is not handicapped at all believe me. My friend Roel makes well over $100,000 a year as a painting company owner with crews all around the place and is now playing around 2250 usatt (yong says) by training hard 7 days a week. I am sure a lot of people would like to be handicapped just like him. I guess it's all relative.

I can't say I remember that well but you definitely seem familiar...
OK, I've got to sleep now, been snowbirding in FL during winter. See you around in tournaments when I go back to west coast, I usually play from 1700, 1800 and every level up...

You can try and declare an eBay auction starting at $100, post it here, then see where it gets price-wise. People might start bidding on it and driving price up.
But fatt is right that the market is getting worse now. There are two reasons - one is that general financial situation is worse, and secondly in the last 5 years manufacturers made so many different rackets under so many brands that they have the market overflown with gear. Butterfly alone, I think, announces new types of rackets almost every week or so. |

Nothing much special, I think. Sometimes EJs are attracted by mere notion of a high price - they think it must be something super, and then it turns out to be just another overpriced blade from Butterfly. It plays nicely, don't get me wrong, but it's not really suitable for 99% of the players... |

haha... OK, here is the deal - I need a Amultart with 2 Tenergy on. So I bought 2 Amultart and 2 Tenergy, hoping to sell one of them hoping to offset my cost (only make $25 some if I can sell for $189), just like I bought 2 houses, rent 1 out and live in one. that kind of strategy. It turns out, no one is buying $189 Amultart, even though it's SO GREAT (King of all blades). I put it up on ebay for 10 days, price went up to $147.5, but my bottomline is $160 so it didn't sell.
Cheapskates!

Yeah, I know... same with my Xiom Stradivarius. Just shows you can't get taken by all the fads. They really come and go so fast. Just keep re-posting here - perhaps in a year or two someone will buy it ... |

you would have made a pretty good deal at $147 on ebay since we can buy it from presports for $124

No way, I paid $60 for expressed shipping charge, for 2 Amultart, 2 Tenergy...was hoping to sell the Amultart for $180 something to offset the total cost...
It cost $150 for each Amultart.
