The main difference regarding spin I see is that in table tennis you have to account for it where as in tennis you do not at all. In tennis you simply power through incoming topspin or slice without ever having to think about closing your racket so the ball doesn't shoot over the fence or brush up on the ball because your opponent just hit a slice to you. Since this is not a limitation you can smack the crap out of the ball more easily by applying more power directly to the ball. The only thing you have to worry about the is having enough topspin to land the shot. If only looping were this simple in table tennis
