Critique my game. Im the looper in the blue my friend is the blocker with a seemiller type grip. For some reason I was chopping with my BH, probably b/c I am out of practice and chopping is easy lol usually I wouldn't chop nearly as much. We play against eachother all the time, his blocks are good and he is very consistent, but when I play against anyone else it is usually me beating myself trying to get awesome FH's. I am starting to get alot more of them in as well as awesome BH's which leads to scared opponents : P

Sorry for the narrow focus of my crit its just where my head is at right now.
1. When your loop stroke ends it seems as if the momentum shifts your balance from the balls of your foot too your heels, in effect leaning back. This seems to affect your recovery time for the next forehand as it looks like you take a moment to recover your balance. 2. Your upper torso doesn't seem to twist enough on the take back sometimes. Torso rotation can provide allot of control and power for your stroke. What I think i'm seeing is when you don't use your torso to control rotation into the ball you overcompensate by using your shoulder and biceps. In general I think this affects your consistency. Ah cool, I remember they used to have ping pong nights in there like every wednesday night or something. I wasn't into TT in college, didn't even have my own paddle, but I did go once just to play around a lil bit. As for critique of your play, since you're not using your normal BH techniques, I won't comment on that. It seems to me like that for now, your biggest problem is simply your consistency. You can certainly improve in all areas as we all do, but compared to say your decision making and your techniques, it seems like consistency is a bigger issue. My level is about 100 points below yours, so I'll refrain from commenting too much

I used long pips to mess around with for a while but never seriously, chopping is a really bad habit of mine, for some reason I find it easy so I revert to it when I havent played in a while especially with serve returns.

I skipped your post but yea I agree with you on both points. I did notice a balance issue after my first loop that I need to fix, im not quite sure why I end up on my heels, its weird. I think multi-ball will fix both of the problems you mentioned.

your footwork is incorrect many times when you loop your fh. Several times I noticed your right foot was forward when you looped, however your right foot should be back so you can turn better and get your body into your shot more. It looks as though you're trying to be ready with your bh when your friend returns your loop. I also noticed that you rushed your loop sometimes when he served it long. Wait a little longer, make sure your right foot is back, your body is turned, and make sure you strike the ball at about 3 o'clock against the underspin (12 being on top, 3 on the side). I think this will help. The loop itself is not bad, but you need to get your footwork right.
