http://youtu.be/7I-nNuF7dZE Heaven for witness, the boy in white did his very best, but still in vain. The ball feeder is to blame, not him. Well, could he really overshoot the Dima's ultimate score of 122 km/h ?? Certainly. But he still needs my friendly lecture on the basic mechanics of the game. Fist and foremost, have the ball going much, much faster towards the hitter, -The oncoming ball speed of about 30 kmh is a necessity. At the present video the ball is just dropped slighly onto the table with minimum onward acceleration, --MISTAKE !! Second, be sure to hit the ball as forcefully as to generate the racket speed of about 50 kmh. You can do it, I know. Since the both requirements are completed, the resulting ball speed should be something 30 + 50*2 = 130 km/h Again, you need a clever assistant to feed up the balls onto your table's half in most convenient manner. Thus and thus only could you become the World's Top Gun, over Dima Ovcharov. Dear Buddy, Put this in your pipe and smoke. Given below is the core science of the sport of table tennis. Yes.
This is why chinese player's are always told to get the racket forwards rather than upwards when playing with topspins.. Lecture is over. Thanks for being so patient. ======================== TRY TO LEARN SOMETHING ABOUT EVERYTHING AND EVERYTHING ABOUT SOMETHING. Thomas Huxley, English scientist. |

not everyone is a good hitter but in that vid going from high to low in one movement would have increased his speed also where the ball lands is a help as Dima was walking around the side so he could next to and closer to the ball/net/table
