Well, the Oberon blade above is a rather thin & light example.

Butterfly manufactured different Oberon series in the eighties. All with nearly the same headsize, but some were heavier, thicker & faster - made for the needs of their contract players.

The one in the photos below is 6,3 mm thick; weight: 88 g

In early 90´s I had the opportunity to buy a BTY Oberon (the thinner one). There were Oberon and Gergely in the shop and I chose Gergely.
I regret badly for that.

The Repiaredo is rated OFF- and is providing a soft feeling,a good blade for loopers that need much control. To me the design is one of the nicest ones Butterfly ever released. In Germany the blade was never really available so not many players were or are still using it.





zhu yuling was using an intensity stiga blade at 2014 both have lines along the handle

But we all have made some major mistakes in our life.

Maybe the second  chance to catch the Holy Butterfly Grail  might come some day -  in 2035 or 2040.
