I love Waldner like everybody else but does anybody have any videos of the other great Swedish National Team members from the 80s/early 90s. I used to really like Persson, Appelgren, and Lindh. Does anybody have any videos of these three great players? Also, does anybody have any videos of the World Team Championships in 1989 when Sweden beat China 5-0? superloop |

I wonder, do you think that the game might have been slower but with longer rallies? maybe the players were more skilled and its just that todays players with bryce and glue and carbon blades cant keep the ball on the table? IDK |

Its mostly because of lack of speedglue and the hidden serves. Plus the fact that Cai Zhenhua is a combo player, lots of twiddling going on in the match.
PS: Waldner isn't using nearly as much speedglue as he'd later use. You can notice it in his attacks. |

the size of the ball also has some to do with the speed. the newly introduced balls 40mm reduce the ball speed. saurabh |
