Great collection! I only have the silver tag cutlass.

Do you know the composition of the blade? Top ply appeared to be willow, but the second ply is interesting (stained) and I am guessing the core material is also willow?

The reason I asked is because this is my only willow blade and I wonder why the harder feel is unlike most discription of soft flex defence blade.

Thanks

I would say the cutlass composition is : Willow-willow-?-willow-willow. I'm not sure the central ply is willow.

K,
I heard ayous being the core material mentioned for defence pro on forum.

I understand the newer cutlass feel different from the three ply defence 1/2 and all willow blade right?

See if anyone else also think ayous for cutlass?

Thanks
