MegaUpLoad now offer a great new "feature".

You can download & install their custom toolbar that will allow you to download files at full line speed, just like you could before they recently crippled the normal download speed.

The new cripple-speed is slower then 36k dial-up (think 10-20 hours to download a file) as an incentive to install their potentially nasty toolbar.

Toolbars often do 2 things-
1) Monitor your internet activity and send off the information they collect.
2) Allow you to be spammed with adverts that are either targeted based on the web sites you visit, or just sent out in flood mode.

It's time to encourage every TT uploader to use a different download site.

yep. a 'new feature/free toolbar' = spyware in almost all cases. Since megaupload is run by adbrite, I'd expect no less.

filefront.com seemed to work smoothly with my upload of a 700 mb boll-korbel match

As in my previous post, I found http://mediafire.com/ is currently the best large file hosting service with unlimited filesize and other restrictions. No spyware either.
