Ma Lin always beats Wang Liqin , except when it is most important.
Wang Hao has bad memory on last final . (Head to head with Ryu 10000:1 , but that 1 matters most)
Persson has nothing to lose , a slight chance for him if Wang Hao become little nervous.
Wang Liqin has heart of champion. Go WLQ!

Wang Liqin is sluggish, mentally frazzled, disoriented, whatever you want to call it. In this sort of form, Ma Lin will kill him. Ma Lin has gotten better and better every year, Wang Liqin has not progressed at all since 2007. His backhand remains a liability, and he has diluted the winning formula of big forehand and solid defense by attempting big backhands. Plus, he s slowed down a step. To win Wang Liqin will need to play lights out attacking and smack flat winners left and right, something that Ma Lin is better at.

Persson couldn t handle Wang Hao s RPB.  He misjudged the spin (either hitting the ball off the table or into the net).  The match would have been much closer had he been able to handle the RPB.

The bronze medal match was terribly boring after the first game.  Ugh!  I wish Samsonov had beaten Persson so at least we would have had an interesting match.  Instead we got to see Persson miss and miss and miss.

WLQ has now beaten both Waldner and Persson for the Bronze medal so I guess Persson and Waldner are "even" :P

Feel free to correct me if I m wrong, but wasn t Waldner 39 when he reached the semi? If so, I think Persson is alone in the semis above 40 club.
