Which one do you recommend?
I'm interested in spin mostly, also speed.

HK1997 Gold will have a little more spin and AK47 Red will be a little faster. AK47 Blue is the softest one and AK47 Yellow is the slowest

None of the AK´s produce much spin.
Here in my club they are used only by children in learning process.

There are 4 variants of the AK-47 ... AK-47, AK-47 Red, AK-47 Yellow, and AK-47 Blue... There are also 4 variants of the HK1997 - Biotec, Gold, Speed, Spin Which ones do you want compare ? The Red is the fastest, and produces respectable amounts of spin - Topspin, backspin, and serves.. .. it's kind of like MXP, but toned-down by a notch or two. I found the yellow producing a good amount of spin on loops/top-spins ..not so much backspin on pushes.. serves are okay .. The Blue, I feel is kind of an all-rounder .. well above-average, but not exceptional spin, on all strokes... very good control .. All 3 rubbers weigh-in on the light'ish side, which is big plus-point for me.. Durability is okay .. After almost 2 years of regular play, the AK-Blue rubber started separating from the sponge (Mostly at the edges).. Nothing a wee bit of glue couldn't fix.. If you consider price:performance, then there are very few rubbers that come close to the AK-47s I've ordered a sheet of the HK1997 Gold, just last week... It's still in transit ... I've tried it once-twice .. It seemed slower than AK-47 Red.. As spinny - or maybe, a tad spinnier than the Red. .. It was certainly heavier than all 3 Ak-47s Edited by Veet - 03/03/2021 at 12:25am |
