Next week another rare Butterfly blade in top condition will arrive.
I am sure, that nearly every Butterfly fan knows this blade.

Butterfly Keyshot sold

Composition: limba - arylate - limba - kiri - limba - arylate - limba

The Keyshot was the predecessor of the Biside (different core) and Keyshot Light (different outer veneer)

When the Keyshot arrives, I will take some more (and better) pictures.

That was my first composite blade, what I used before switching to Viscaria.  Very nice indeed.

In my collection I have only one single Juic blade, but this blade is a very nice and good blade.

Juic Nebula sold

The construction of the Juic Nebula is similar to the old Butterfly Power Drive, with a wonderful hinoki top ply and hard rosewood as second veneer. The blade in the pictures is new and never played.

Is that Juic Nebula or Juic Hans Alser or Juic Pure Wood?

In the 60`s and 70`s Imperial was a very famous brand, especially in Germany.
Lots of well known (german, but also international) players had an Imperial contract.
  • Eberhard Schöler
    • 9x German champion, silver medal 1969 (Single competition and Mixed)
    • active = 60`s - middle of the 80`s
  • Martin Ness
    • 60`s - middle of the 80`s
    • 4x German champion (Double)
  • Wilfried Lieck
    • 60`s - middle of the 80`s
    • 5x German champion (Single), 1x European champion (Mixed)
  • Wiebke Hendriksen
    • 70`s - middle of the 80`s
    • several times German champion (1978 = Single, Double and Mixed)
    • German Double champion with D.Schoeler and A.Simon (also Imperial players)
    • European champion (Mixed with W.Lieck)
  • Erich Arndt
    • middle of 50`S - 70`s
    • silver medal in European Championship 1962
  • Agnes Simon
    • 50`s - beginning of 70`s
    • born in Hungary, active for Hungary, Netherlands and Germany
    • European Champion (Single) and World Champion (Double)
    • played in Hungarian Team together with Ferenc Sido
  • Dr. Bela Simon
    • from Hungary, married with Agnes Simon
    • active in the 50`s
    • national trainer in Hungary (end of 50`s)
    • team trainer in Germany (60`s), for example trainer of Wiebke Hendriksen
    • 1973-1985 chief of Butterfly Europe
  • Marta (Hejma) Luzova
    • 60`s - beginning of 70`s
    • 5x Czech national champion, 1x German Champion
    • European Champion (Double and Mixed)
  • Diane Schöler (Rowe)
    • from England
    • 50's - beginning of 70`s
    • 2x World Champion (Double)
  • Ferenc Sido
    • middle of 40`s - beginning of 60`s
    • from Hungary
    • Word Champion (1953 = Single, 2x Double, 4x Mixed, 4x with Hungary)
As you can see, it was really like a little "family".

In my collection there are at least 16 Imperial blades from this time, all with original rubbers and 15 of them completely unplayed). Here you can see some pictures of this collection part.

If you think, that these blades are simple beginner-paddles, you are totally wrong. Only the 5 Junior versions were such beginner blades. The other blades are very good 5-ply blades with good playing-characteristic. Here you can see some pictures of the structure of some blades.

and additional two pictures of another Imperial Champion without rubbers. On these pictures you can see the fine limba outer veneer and also the structure (composition) of the blade.

By the way: the hole in the veneer is characteristic. You will find it in all Imperial blades.

As I need some more room for my primary collection parts, all these Imperial blades are for trade or for sale, but only the complete collection, not single blades. I hope, you understand this.

The last part of my collection are three very nice Banda blades.
I will start with a very special blade from the beginning of the 80`s

Banda Dorada sold

Composition: ayous - ayous - ayous - ayous - ayous

The Banda Dorada is a very thick (7,15 mm) blade - stiff, fast and bouncy,
very good for playing with classic rubbers with 1,8 mm thickness, too fast for thicker modern rubbers.
Although is is more than 7 mm thick, the weight is only 86g.

On the head you can see the rest of a "Schoeler & Micke" stamp from 1983.
Most of the stamp got lost during the cleaning-process.

The next blade is one of the earliest Banda blades, from the end of the 70`s. Instead of the lenses (which were used form 1983 on) Banda used stickers with pictures of their players, like you could see on my old Stiga blades too. The first blades with straight handles got the name (and picture) of Christer Johansson, the brother of Kjell Johansson (who had a Stiga contract). These first blades were called Banda Allround.

Banda Allround Christer Johansson sold

The rubbers are "Nittaku Allround on both sides - a real Allround blade with fantastic spin and control.
I got this wonderful blade with it`s original package. Therefore it should also be a high asked paddle.

Construction: koto - koto - ayous - koto - koto

My third and last Banda blade is one of the most asked blades ever.

Banda Waldner 3000 sold

This Banda Waldner is rare in general, but especially with this wonderful conic handle it is extremely rare.

Ok, I know that photo is a tease, so I'll ask the obvious. Is that a Butterfly blade made by Stiga?
Blade:
Darker Speed90
Rubber Fh and Bh DHS Hurricane 3, 39/38deg

I am not sure, what you mean with
Quote I know that photo is a tease
Do you think, it is a fake-blade? Or a "fun-picture", created with Photoshop?
Sorry, but in this case you are wrong. This blade is completely genuin.

In the 60`s / 70`s Stiga and Butterfly had a kind of cooperation.
For example Stiga sold some Butterfly blades in the european market (not only Sweden).
Stiga got these blades from Butterfly, added their "Tre-Kronor-Sticker" and sold them within Europe.
Nevertheless Stiga had NOTHING to do with the production of this Korpa Deluxe. They only sold it.

A long time is gone since my last post. I think, it`s time to add some jewels Wink

Banda Waldner 2000 sold

First I got a second Banda Waldner from the rare series with the small white lens, this time with straight handle, called Banda Waldner 2000.

Lots of people contacted me and asked me to sell it, but I always answered, that these blades are only for trade. Meanwhile both Banda Waldner are traded. That means, that you will see some more pictures soon.
Big smile

Another rare and high asked blade is the

Butterfly Cresail traded

from the series with old font, black metal tag and especially with CO handle, which is nearly impossible to find. Maybe some of you followed the endless "story" and noticed, that it needs a very long time until I got this blade. A friend of me refreshed the Cresail and finally I had a real diamond in my hands (for a short time). Unfortunately this blade is also traded meanwhile.

Butterfly Anatomic for sale !

not in the same perfect condition like my firsts Anatomic, but nevertheless in good condition and extremely rare. I really like this special handle.

The Kong Linghui Special is one of the best Butterfly blades ever and still high asked, especially with ST handle and in such a perfect condition.

The last blade for the moment is one of these blades, which you are searching and searching and searching, but always without success, no matter, which kind of blade you offer for trade.

But 3 months ago I found someone, who had such a blade. It needs some time to find a solution, but finally we found a way. Than I had to wait again for several weeks, because the postal service has not the same quality and "speed" in each country. But that does not matter now, because I am happy to be able to present the next blade for my (main) Stiga collection:

Stiga Bengtsson Graphite Wood

you will find more and bigger pictures on page 3 of this thread, besides my other Bengtsson blades.

Another Stiga blade arrived in my collection:

Stiga Clipper Wood Stellan Bengtsson

This was the second series of the old Bengtsson Clipper Wood, which had 9 plies instead of the usual 7 plies. The former (7-ply) version had the black double lens instead of these red lenses and the latest (7-ply) version had only one red lens.

You can find bigger pictures of all Clipper Wood version on page 3 of this thread, besides my other Bengtsson blades. Smile
