Hey guys and gals, I'm a teacher/coach at a high-school in central NY who's trying to get a table tennis club/team started.  Interest is high amongst students and teachers, but our athletic depatment will not have any funds to purchase the needed equipment anytime soon.  Angry Do you know of any grant programs that would donate lower end equipment to increase awareness and interest in the sport?  If not, are there retailers that donate in exchange for heavy advertising or places where I can get used equipment cheap?  Any suggestions would be awesome.  Thanks in advance.

Thanks!  He just wrote me so we are in touch now.  I contacted someone at the ustta but I didn't get much out of that so hopefully I'm on the right track now.  Thanks again.

Here is a list of clubs in New York: http://www.usatt.org/admin/ClubsList.aspx?State=NY#listTop

See if someone in the community has a decent table(s) and are willing to donate; 2 tables would be a good start.

Check those clubs for players willing to come and do demo's or free training.

What is your level of play?

I'll try to check this thread daily for your progress.
