Im running out of speed glue, and i have 2 tournaments coming up in the end of July. I need to get a can of glue just to last me through those. Anyone have an extra can laying around? Or maybe somebody who quit glueing and has some extra?

Im looking to buy some pretty cheap...

hmm speaking of glue, once the speed glue is banned in august next year, how are the officials going to check for it in tournaments?

They are going to be using a machine to test for VOCs in the glue...called E-nez(french for Electronic Nose)

Enez is a container into which the racket is placed.

The container is opened, a few seconds wait is needed until the display shows the sensor is ready, the racket is placed in the container and a sixty second countdown begins. At the end of the sixty seconds the result appears in the display panel. The air in the box is measured prior to the racket being inserted and after the sixty seconds has been completed; data is collected and a comparison made.

If a red light shows, the racket has failed; if it is green it has passed.

The process is quick and efficient, in one minute the result is known.

Do you also not call your own lets when the other player doesn't notice? or when it skims the edge and they don't notice?

It doesn't matter what glue you use, none of them are ITTF approved now anyway...

"All existing ITTF approvals of glues are WITHDRAWN effective immediately. This withdrawal applies to ALL glues currently on the market. The ITTF will cease to approve any type of glue effective immediately. However, the ITTFs current racket testing programme and protocols will continue controlling the amount of VOCs in a racket in order to protect the health of the players."

thats the catch, no the effect is not as good as regular speed glue, unless you add alot. I just did it for experimenting.
I personally recommend you to buy regular speed glue if you really need it for tournaments.
